Ok, since todays weather was crap, i decided to clean the car and then take it into the garage for waxing. Used one layer poorboys white diamond followed by one coat ag hd wax. Plastics dressed with poorboys natural look dressing and the tryes dressed with megs endurance gel. The alloys were given a coat of hd wax to try and make them look a bit better since i've kerbed two in the past week

Not really done much recently, got new tyres on the front, pressed plates and adjusted the steering weight using vagcom (yes, i finally got it to work !!)

Next major things will be suspension and alloy wheel refurb in gun metal grey colour.

Looking good. Looks like you were doing some off roading with all that mud

Thanks, just standard more or less, would love to be able to do suspension and wheels just now but funds and time don't allow :( Yeah the road i use to get to the motorway in the way to work was closed past few weeks so had to use a dirt track back road :( poor suspension could'nt cope with all the potholes.

Ooh, same aerial as mine ;)

Have to say your car's looking in a fine state mate. Looks completely stone chip and imperfection free! Looks a brand new car if I'm honest.

Need to clean mine it's looking like yours was, 3 weeks without a wash has taken its toll

No lol.. I'm getting it at 6 though :) Then I'm off to my mates in Dundee right after work on Friday, so will be a nice drive up :p

Oh right. I remember when picking up my old mk4 i asked for a day off and was told no because it was 'ludicrous' that i wanted a day off to pick up my new car. *******s! This time round, i told nobody and just turned up in it one day haha.

Haha, I never even thought about getting the day off tbh. Some people just aren't into cars and don't get how you like to spend the whole day messing around with it and cleaning it

You take out the entire strut on the front which incorporates the shock. Don't plan on doing it myself anyway lol.
