Thanks for all the comments lads, really appreciate them.
Update time....
I sent John @ Treadstone a couple of messages regarding my EFR turbo, unfortunately they are still waiting on the internal wastegate twin scrolls 7670 the same as everyone else is, they are just as gutted as me - they have developed some v-band turbine housings and cannot release.
They can't give me a exact time as they still don't know yet but they have had some 7670external wastegate twin scrolls delivered so i will give it another month or so and if the internal wastegate ones don't show up John will send me a external type.
Anyway I wanted to get the engine in shortly so when i get the turbo i can work out where to sit the turbo and design the manifold and exhaust.
I needed to buy a clutch & flywheel and some engine mounts so after doing quite a bit of researching i went and ordered the Clutchmasters FX400 6 Puck Sprung Hub & Flywheel Kit, they seem to have a very good reputation.
On the engine mount front i went for the Black Forrest Industries BFI Stage 2 Poly mounts.
I went for a pre-assembled dogbone mount & engine mount and an insert for the Gearbox mount -
Clay from CTS turbo has dispatched them so should have my grubby paws on them next weekend.
On the car front i have been working on the shell for a while so not too exciting.
I tacked the boxes in for the rollcage mounts then had to make some mounts for the rear arches.
I bent some 2mm plate with a ball pien hammer to match the contours of the wheel arches then drilled and tapped it. I then made some plates to weld to the rollcage for mounts.
I've still got to put a cross brace between the legs above the wheel arches, im gonna use the original rollcage door bars and cut them to length and weld in the bolt ends, should stiffen the back up even more and let me mount the harnesses to.
I then cleaned up all the welds with a rotary wire brush and primed the joins using etch primer. I gave it all a lick with the seam sealer -
After all that i decided to start stripping the shell in preperation for painting...gonna stick with the original colour but the car needs the paint freshening up also the LCR bumpers / skirts / wings will need painting and i've scratched loadsa places with the rollcage.
I took great joy in ripping out the old Nokia hands free -
I've decided i am gonna install LCR headlining / pillar covers / door seals / glovebox etc as they look much better than the light grey stuff that was fitted.
Ripped out all the headliner etc and remaining interior bits -
also pulled the glovebox out, just got to remove the grey bit under the steering wheel -
Page break for photos.....
