efr 6758 here i come
looking good robbie,

i have decided on an efr6758 ;) going to order it closer to me coming back to the uk then stick in on beginning of next yr ;)
seen video on youtube your car goes some :)
im also running a dmf with uprated clutch and love it, its a bit heavier but i can now use my launch control

where you get both your gauges from,
im using ones that look oem but im sure give dodgie readings,

Not many efr6758 setups around, uh suit your sir.I will defo be keeping my eye on that, there meant to be awesome turbos just still not main stream yet.

My Gauges are Auto-Meter, they just barely, i mean barely fit the noman pod.

My clutch, BPi velocity stack, machined dip stick tub are still somewhere with USPS, i swear they are so F'ing slack.

In the mean time, i did some changes to my WMI setup.I used to run just one nozzle mounted post-TB but upon testing it appears this setup will not do as there is not equal distribution of WMI, its to close to the intake basically.

So what i did was weld a bung to my pipework just after the IC and mount a D04 nozzle along with a nother D01 nozzle mounted in post TB, all cyclinders not get equal amounts of WMI.

I did 4th gear run today and there was 0 CF with 22* timing top end, nice.

Here some pics and vids for ya'll. I still have some tweaking to do and need another check valve maybe.

Add a jointer to take the pressure of the fitting.

After just reading the devils own forums and the nozzle section it would appear they rate all there nozzles flow @ 100psi even though they mostly only ship 250psi pumps set to 200psi. Also the calculator on there website rates everything at 100psi. I need to reduce my nozzle sizes it would appear.

How they calculate flow at 200psi is anyone's guess, they say you can't just multiple by 2 to get the flow at 200psi, very confusing.

They do state the flow rate @ 200 psi you just have to search a few posts.:) When i read you were running a 4 and a 1 gph i thought it was too much. For reference i have a 2 and a 1 gph to be fitted with my DO kit (i know wtf didn't i go AEM but hey ) and at 200 psi it should flow a combined effort of 4 gph which is about right for a hybrid setup, however you will loose some flow due to the extra load seen by the pump. Out of concern i stripped my DO controller down to see how badly its been cobled together and too be fair its looks reasonably well made from an electronics point of view but they must have problems somewhere for all the issues they seam to get. On a positive note the 250 psi pump is a progessive pump operated on a duty cyle basis so it sees full voltage when in operation but pulsed in duration which results in a better spray delivery compared to the shurflow variants.
i would ditch the 4 gph for a max of 3 gph if using a 1 gph near the TB.

Bill, have you had success with just drilling a clearance hole in an intercooler pipe say and simply self tapping the nozzle in directly like DO say is possible or is it pretty much a welded boss or nothing.

Hi Bill, i tested the spray pattern and its not affected, the photo is misleading, i'll put up a video shortly. Thats nuts about Welly's TB, maybe its the WMI dirty secret, so suprised its not all over the forums!

WW, your right, i will go D01 TB and D03 or D02 post IC, the aim is to inject the same amount but in a finer spray. Also i will order a solenoid, they look to do the job from the youtube videos i've seen, now the question do i need 1 or 2 solenoids as i am dual nozzle?

Also WW, i test tapped an alloy intercooler pipe before, i could only get 2 threads on it, thats not enought IMO.

Put in 550cc Genesis today, christ she's running rich, IDC's are down to 75% @ 7000rpm, the map needs a tweak. Will put pic's and stuff up later.

My 550cc injectors arrived today, i should have bought these along time ago, i was able to remove the 440cc running at 4bar and put in the 550cc running at 3bar, this will give me fuel pump a break, in addition after lots of reading up these injectors are recommended by most tuners as the spary pattern is much the same as the OE injectos, they don't need fuel rails spacers wihich is a bonus but they do need adapters for the harness.

This is them installed, much neater and the green ones look nasty IMO.

Good bye green giants:

I also got so sick of looking at that poxy yellow dipstick funel and replaced it with a nice machined one from whanab.com, very nice.

Update:

After fcking around with my WMI, i have ordered up 2 solenoids, one for each nozzle feed. This will stop the nozzle siphoning or bleeding off after the pumps is deactivated, i am sure this is not helping the water ingress into to my TB issue. The guys over on vwvortex highly recommend running solenoids over check valves.

Sounds good Rob. How much did the injectors cost you in total, taking all the taxes into consideration. I ran a 3/6 inch velocity stack for a little while with a 6inch K&N airfilter. My boost rose a little but the measured airmass did not increase, infact the open cone still outperformed it. It could be that it does flow more but laminates the air better so the maff reads a more true reading. A RR will be needed to prove the results one way or another.

Hi Carl/Willy?

I bought them on vwvortex, injectors seem to be on sale there quite a bit, €130 delivered, how bad and they were less than a year old, the date was even printed on the side of the injector.

Re the velocity stack, the aim for me is just even airflow and accurate reading, my induction kit has joiners on it that must create turbulence, an accurate reading will make more power than an inaccurate reading, i want the AFR as true as possible, we will see i guess.

I did some before and after on the injector timing, the graph speaks for itself, still some tweaking to be had, but over all the fueling looks good, injector timing is way down.;)

Both were 4th gear runs so i couldn't go to crazy with the RPM, you know yourself.

I need to figure a way to get the stack right up to the MAF, i dont think its optimal the way it is now, the heat sheild will have to go....

Well i was suprised at this, now granded i still have more logging to do but these runs where done back to back within minutes of one another, looks like the BPI stack is out flowing the Jetex down low betweem 3k-4k and matching its airflow up top, interesting as Jetex seem to be all people talk about these days.

thats interesting Rob as i only ever looked at peak airflow with it and it was slightly down, But my boost spike was more pronunced verifying what you've identified above that low down it outflows.:)

I did notice a raise in boost low down also, while i was at it i removed the bend from before my MAF and then tested it will 3 different filters with a straight run to the MAF, the bend was defo causing turbelance and giving higher readings. With the bend in place the reading was 260gs max consisently, without the bend it was low 250g/s but consistent across 3 different filters.
