16's? 6.5"?

I personally wouldnt want to pay more than £250 with decent tyres, will just be paying BBS Scene tax otherwise, for which is a standard wheel, seen enough sets going cheap, let alone the idiots wanting £450+ 'cos they say BBS.

Hub adapters mate will do the trick. Be careful with offsets etc though as they could stick out too far (for that "scene" look!)

14"s too? Small.... might not clear your brakes!

As Gooner_Mike said, adapters are the way to go. But personally I think 14's will look really bad. Far too small for the arches and you'll probably have big high profile tyres on them which wont look good imo.

I have a similar question.

My Dab Sport currently has it's 16" Spira wheels on it. I am thinking of getting a set of winter tires but the current size (205/45/r16) doesn't yield many results.

If I went down a rim size (e.g 15"), what would my new tire size be without affecting the rolling radius too much?

Thanks.

Honestly? Cost mainly. A set of 4 Dunlop wintersports will be around the £400 after shopping around. I did notice on their site that the have the tire in that size so I'll maybe see if I can find a tire supplier locally that has them in stock. It just means I'll need to get the garage to swap them over every summer and winter.

I suggested going up to 17's as i find tyres are really cheap in 17's compared to 16's. Been previously advised 16 inch wheels are regarded as a more 'oddball' size? I used to pay nearly 100 quid a tyre on my 1.8 sri corsa and the fr and cupra have only cost about 70 so far. Didnt realise you were looking at specific winter tyres though, i've used paradas and toyo px4's the last 2 winters, doing 1500 miles a month haha the peloquin diff did help massively with the snow in the cupra, compared to the winter before in my fr!
