Launch control as std :-)

Well I found out the car has launch control fitted as standard yesterday - well impressed.

Car stopped / in first gear / clutch in (of course) / foot flat on the accelerator and it sits at approx 4500 rpm - ideal for the perfect launch.

Gotta love these cars !

Yep, it's there as a safety feature, nothing else.

It's just a limiter that is lower because you're static.

Even my wife's 1.6TDi Copa has this (albeit at a lower point)

Carry on smoking your clutches though

My cupra has it as well. I certainly wont be trying it out. Probably just fry the tyres and the clutch!

My 07 Leon FR TDI did have this but my 07 Leon Cupra doesnt have it

Its nothing exciting mate just a clutch killer.

It is actually lunch control. It controls how quickly the car eats the clutch. Try it by all means but don't over do it because clutches are expensive and not covered by your warranty.

You can in neutral, just not in gear at the lights with the clutch down. Nanny state
