i love how this kind of thing ends up in threats of violence lol

i think your car standard top speed is 112 mph so with 40 odd extra bhp you will be lucky to get 125 - 130 and thats a long shot either your talking poo or you have 10 inch wheels on the car or the speedos broken lol and if its that much out id be expecting people to be over taking me in 30 mph zones lol

The revs restricted at 4k in top gear.
And I am not the best for cars knowledge but if i got 200bhp that would surely increase the speed.
And ill be careful promise :)

Even at 200bhp, your car will get to it's top speed quicker, but will be very much limited by it's gearing. If you are doing 140 mph at 5k in the red even on the dial i would be very surprised. Your cars max bhp 154bhp.....(what other mods do you have apart from a map to get this?) will probably kick in at between 3800rpm and 4200rpm. After that you will dramatically be losing power and not to mention torque.... I would doubt you will get much more tha 125 on the dial(not true speed) in your car.

I know that a stage 2 leon fr tdi will hit just over 150mph, but after 140ish it takes a while to climb (on the dial)

I am not talking crap. My car was running at 105bhp now running at 154bhp. It was in 5k rev in red but still 140mph. And i want a bigger turbo to take it to 200bhp all i asked for was help on speedos. Not a nob of an answer.

Hi you have answered the question yourself, if the car runs top speed with revs in the red now with a bigger turbo the gearing won't let it go any faster.
If you are keen to find out your actual top speed why not buy or borrow a sat nav which is accurate to 0.01 mph so as good as you'll get.

beg to differ about sat navs been accurate mate, i calibrate speedos and tachgraphs all the time, and calibrate them to actual speed at the wheels, and u always find that a sat nav will tell you 3mph ish slower than you actual are, sat navs work on gps, and measure point to point based on a flat surface, they are not complex enough to measure point to point inc extra distance travelled for up hill and down hill gradiant, so to sum it up, sat navs speed means jack all, sorry to disappoint you, but i deal with this talk all day, my truck aint going fast enough, my speedo is out, my sat nav says this, look deeper into gps postioning and its basic, how does a sat nav know if ur going up and down hill and covering extra distance, it dont !!!!!

Just what I read on the net mate.
When I checked through Google how accurate gps was it reckoned 0.01 mph.
Just proves you can't believe everything you read on the net.

I think if your going over 140mph your not gonna care too much about accuracy, you should be looking where your going not at the speedo.

I've a revo 1.9tdi, I know your being optimistic there mate

I'd save the money you would spend towards a new speedo and put it towards you brakes

Keep it simple and put some more marks on the speedo yourself, tip-ex.....?

I've had mine at between 120-125mph on a decline, but I doubt that was that accurate, and I wasnt really that keen on staring at the speedo.

And that's with a full powerflow exhaust, revo remap, brand new turbo (not a hybrid mind) and the engine and all ancillaries surgically cleaned.

I dont want to sound big headed but if my 1.9 cant do 140 or near, yours certainly can't
