Very nice Paul, this makes me miss my old Black LCR :-( i like the extra touches of the color coded calipers and badges.

Any progress with the DTC's you had?

hi mate still got error code its doing my head in, its over retarding which i believe means getting to much oil pressure,
my mappers told me to check a few things so going to see if ut helps it at all,

will send you the gasket when you want it,
im not to sure about the rear badge but im happy with callipers,

seen your mapping is coming along :) now got the 320 are you happy?

high performance head gasket off ebay, rung the guy up about it and he talked to me for an hour about the design and that its the same used in the mk1 1000bhp golf he was very proud about it helping design it. Designed to 3 bar turbo pressure made with a different composite and an extra plate or something.

Hi, Paul just been reading your thread mate and it looks like you were 1 roller out on the cam timing before. It's suppose to be 16 rollers between the marks on camshaft and i counted 17 on your piccy. Suppose it doesn't matter now if its all sorted - did you refit in exactly the same way or did you count the 16 ????
Cheers, Graham.

hi graham i got a garage to do it as was away with work so they fitted the new vvt unit and timed the engine up but i was also sure it was 1 roller out but cars back on way to being built again :) go away again with work for a few months then when come back can get the car sorted :) love your build, impressed doing the work yourself :)

been out the uk for a while now so saved some pennies so thinking bt is defo the way forward, not sure what to go for though,
options are
gt3071 or gt3076
but also looked at the gtx series but not found much info on these turbos yet,
my aim is 450 - 480 bhp,
im currently in canada so looking at buying parts and bringing them back with me to uk to save on import tax :)

what are peoples opinions on these gtx turbos i want to be on full boost by 3.5 - 4k so its economical on the motorway :)
