Great results they we're Ben! Only just seen the torque figures, very impressive! :)

Car sounded great on the rollers, and it was funny seeing it try to jump off them, lol..

Thanks Tom

I'm finally happy with the results it's pulled, especialy the torque :)

Now looking forward to getting the exhaust mani sorted and seeing what else we can squeeze from it.

It's always impressed me how it tries to pull itself into the rollers then throw itself out.

Didn't get to see you run but figures are very good and car looked good as always ;-)

Today i took the car to AmD Essex for a run on the rollers.

The results were more like what i was expecting and show positive gains from the last time it went on the rollers.
Mods carried out since the last run have been the addition of water meth, badger5 tip and a bit of tweeking of the actuator and mbc.

Overall i'm happy with the results and i know there's still more to be squeezed from it with a decent exhaust mani and the meth being set up correctly and mapped in.

Graphs added below.

I'm glad I done rods and clutch as i'm sure it would have sh@t itself along time ago without them.

I found it pulled better logs on the descreened maf (271 g/s at one point) but i am going to try the other housing again now everything is fitted correctly tip wise.

Very tempted by the xs mani aswell, i'd set a goal of having it done and back to you for mapping before my next track day in may so may end up going this route as the wait for anything else is getting a bit tedious now.

Once again i've left it a while since updating this thread so it's about time to get it up to date again.

After the rr day at AmD it was time to turn my attentions to getting the car ready for the BHP Show at Lydden, thankfully there wasn't a great deal to do but as always i left it to the week before to sort everything!!

I've finally got to the bottom of my oil leak from the cooler lines and after checking yesterday it now looks like it's 100% sorted.

As always i had another good day at Lydden and the car again performed well and didn't miss a beat (apart from almost running out of fuel) lots of mixed vehicles and driving abbilities on track as always but this is what i find makes it fun.

With the track day out the way the car literly got dumped in the garage and didn't move for 3 weeks, this week it was time to get it mot'd (which it passed with no problems or advisories) and get the comps bolted back up (big thanks to Stu for sorting the refurb on them)

I've since given it a good wash and polish and then thrown it back in the garage under the car cover untill the next time i decide to use it.

As always i've got a few pics of the track action but none of the car since the clean up (most of the pics are borrowed from various people so i hope they don't mind :) )

great track pictures and really nice motor :)

glad i read your tip fitting / abs move - currently got my engine out to fit manifold, and going back in with Badger 3" tip fitted have not checked if it will clear the abs pump.

Cheers for the comments, car certainly looks more at home on the track than it does in the garage

Greg

You'll hopefully have an easier time with the pump relocation with the engine being out, should make fiting the new brake lines a damn sight easier aswell

Well this project has now taken an unexpected turn!!

After alot of thought and selling my daily driver i've decided that i only want one car as it's such a waste having the ibiza sat in the garage doing nothing, especially with the time and money i've ploughed into it (i built it to drive and in the last year it's probably only left the garage a dozen times)

My initial plan was to convert the car back to standard (interior wise) and run it as a daily, after pricing up parts etc it would make more sense to buy a mk3 cupra strip the bits i need and sell the rest on to recoup some of the costs.

Tonight i've purchased a mk3 cupra but after the drive home i'm not so sure i've got the heart to do it and i'm thinking of possibly throwing all my drivetrain at this one.

It does unfortunatly have the dreaded arch rot which is beyond saving now so ideally needs a new 1/4 or someone who's very handy at welding to cut and repair it, apart from that it's a genuine 62k 3 owner car which has been sold from my garage to all 3 owners.

While i continue to argue with myself about which way i'm going here's a few pics.

Keep the mk2!! This as always been one Ibiza I have always kept my eye on. Martin's is going, yours can't!! Not both the midnight motors mk2's going, loosing one is bad enough!

Well the decision has been made, i'm keeping them both :)

The mk2 will probably end up sorn'd and sat in the garage untill i need it for track days, it will however be getting a tidy up and a new roll cage in the near future.

The mk3 is going to become my new daily and will shortly be going in to get the paintwork sorted along with a few mods i've picked up over the weekend.

I'll update the thread as and when things start progressing.
