Ibiza Mk4 project - enjoying the ride...

Time for me to share here what I've been doing on my Ibiza :D

The car is a 2004 PD130 Sport (long gearbox):

After changing front bushes, MAF, timing belt kit, water pump, etc, etc, etc... the time for more power is here!

I got the pipercross replacement panel filter:

Then I needed a better boost monitoring... so then came the NewSouth Performance column pod with VDO gauge:

Knowing that the small and weak (and old) BV39 wouln't be enough... the hybrid arrived from ScrollProducts:

Installing it took 2 full days (I do all myself)... don't ask why!

And next is all the piping on 2.5" aluminium tube with this FMIC up front:

Last but not least... a pic next to my friend's 135hp 2.0HDI

Will keep you posted.
Best regards

Looks like some tidy hardware going into that car. What do you mean by long gearbox? Did they change the ratios on the FR?

I know this is longer than the one on the FR, not sure exactly how much. I get 60km/h every 1000rpm on 6th gear.

Does the golf one fit alright then? Alright for some isnt it being able to do your own remap! Lol! What kind of power you think your going to get it making?

It "fits"... not perfect but good enough (get the one that's not the complete piece but just the top part).

Fisrt stage is to get near 180hp at 1.7bar, testing the whole engine and clutch.... after changing to a better clutch and maybe a colt stage 2 cam, if the engine runs ok I'll go for 220-230hp at 1.9bar

Sounds like youve got it all sorted mate! I need a decent clutch but just cant afford at tge moment so cant get mine custom mapped until i get one!
I might have to copy you with the column pod looks awesome and i would like my air vent back lol!

OK! better late than never....

I have some updates here. After driving the new turbo for a while and the only problem being the pipes poping off, I went on installing the universal FMIC.
Turns out that using 2.5" Al pipes with the stock mk4 sport bumper is a nightmare to fit (but I can't get a FR bumper here). After A LOT of time and some cutting we got it sorted out:

Now the car runs really fine and I have no boost leaks.
With the turbo and FMIC in place... let the mapping begin!!! :funk:

I also got a 4bar MAP, powerflex bushes installed and new brakes installed.

Will keep you posted when I get the software done and some RR numbers.
