Turn the tunes up :funk: lol

Ha ha, very funny! I usually do that but sometimes i get a sore head from all the noise lol - turn the radio up, music giving me headache, turn the music down, road and wind noise giving me a headache lol. I expect too much of the poor wee car lol.....

Took me a while to adapt to the Ibiza it has to be said... Road noise is ludicrous!
Saying that tho, a went from a Audi A4 to the Ibiza.
Audi is no compassion...
Bomb could go off outside it you wouldnt of known it! Lol

Fancy doing mine? I'd pay (peanuts) it's the worst thing about the car. How long did it take you?

*Comparisson*

I had a astra H before my first mk4 ibiza and i cant ever remember having a problem with the road noise in it! I think the ibiza got good reviews except from the refinement when it first came out lol.

It took me about 12 hours in total i'd say, it's taking all the trims, seats etc out that eats up the time tbh. Only cost me £80 to do mine.....

Defo agree the car needs sound deadening, quite substantially actually!
I used dynamat also some adhesive acoustic foam (akin to stuff for inside PC cases) for certain areas like the inner door card and made a massive difference! - i can hear myself think now! :)

So out of interest today i phoned arnold clark to see how much how much they would charge for cambelt & waterpump/major service/brake fluid the car's due in about a months time. Got quoted £707 quid - ouch! Just thought i would get a price as if it was only around £100 extra, i would have paid to keep on top of the seat/vw service history but at that price i'll be giving it a miss! If anybody can recommend a good garage to take my car to that knows their vws give me a shout...

A can do it all myself

707 quid is excessive!

Well i think i've got till november for the cambelt, but might as well get it all done at the one time as the car will be almost 4 years old soon and i'm due a service in 2k which will pass in a few weeks. Tbh, i know your bro would probably do a good job (most likely better that most garages) but i want the stamp in the book as it's already got a seat/vw history and i don't want to ruin that. There's a vw specialist in irvine that i've been to before but i think i got stung for the rear disks on my last car from them so a bit reluctant to give them a go again tbh. Arnie is having a laugh at that price, even the person on the phone was shocked at the total price!

You realise any vat registered garage can stamp your book?
Personally, I can't see past Moorfield - decent prices and excellent service

Gave the car a good going over today. Used Dodo Juice Supernatural Hybrid Wax, results are impressive in person, not so much in my shitty photos!
