I'll be spending the nite going through the thread and see the cars journey, i'm really intrigued to see the progress - I loved the car when I first saw pics of it frm the first guy :)

Glad to see the new owner is on here! Keep an eye out for me darmon, I've seen you a few times buzzing up and down the A34... :p I'll flash my lights next time I see you.

Also darmon, if you ever need to (with its current running problem) you can come over to mine (Gatley) and hook it up to VCDS, assuming you don't already have access to it. As Scott says it'll probably be something or nothing, a duff spark plug or a coil etc.

Will do Blanco - I do see a Red Beeza every now and then, its got a black vinyl stripe down the bonnet in the shape of a big arrow/triangle, see that every now and then.

My dads taken a look at it tonight and one of the coils has gone, so need to get that replaced, it was only running on 2 on the journey home from work - probably get them all done.

Once that is done, i'll whizz it into my friend at Audi, and he'll clear the EM light for me :) and then i'll clean it and put some pics up for people!

Well, coil has been bought now - so hopefully it will be repaired tonight and back on the road. If so - it'll be getting cleaned tomorrow.

MOT in a couple of weeks, so hoping it will fly through!

I've seen that red Ibiza you speak of darmon, personally I think it looks minging!

Wouldn't believe it but mine was running rough this morning, I reckon it was running on 2 cylinders, it was quite lumpy on tickover and the engine management light came on. It sorted itself out though when I restarted the car. I might have a coil on the way out too I guess.

Well, my dads done some checks on it before I book an MOT. Hes highlighted some issues to me;

- Leaking shock absorber at the front
- Slight slit in the inner sidewall on front left tyre
- Anti Roll Bar rubbing on front subframe

He also thinks that because the engine management light is on, the car may be going into limp mode, so emissions may be bad?

I am pretty sure it would fail on the shock absorber and the tyre - but any input would be good :)

yeh i would think the shocker and tyre will fail, depends how picky the garrage are. yeh the car wont run correctly in limp mode. why is it in limp anyways?

Well, its not in limp mode - but because of this issue that I have been having with it sometimes cutting out on me when I come to a stop, my dad thinks it may be going into limp mode - but he cant say for sure.

I'm going to get the tyre replaced this week, and i'll look into the shock absorber. I'm guessing the only thing I can do about that is replace it? Cant be fixed?

Also - do you know if the ARB will cause any MOT failure, with it rubbing the subframe?
