I had a busy weekend trying out some new product's.
Maz has also shown me the error of my ways when cleaning my car so I've made a few tweaks to my routine,
Started by cleaning the wheel's, they were still pretty clean as they get washed evey week and they had been cleaned useing Iron X a few weeks ago, so I decided to just jet them off, give them a light spray with a mild mix of APC agitated useing my new EZ Detail MINI Brush, These are really good for getting right inside the wheel and between the inside of the rim and the Brembo calipers, well worth the money. http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/ez-detail-mini-brush-for-cars-and-bikes.php?cPath=25_30
They were then washed with Autofinesse lather shampoo and rinsed off again and dried, they were then given a coat of wheel wax http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/wheelwax.php?cPath=25_30 this stuff smells lovely :D, I was a bit suprised when I opened it as it is a very soft runny wax, looks like custard :D but it goes on really easily and when buffed off it give a very deep shiney finish.
The tyres got a fresh coat of Meg's endurance tyre shine.

I want to take the wheels off soon and wax the inside's and wax the Brembo's aswell.

Next up was the engine bay.
Again it was jetwashed lightly to remove and loose dust then a light spray of APC, the gearbox and linkage was sprayed with AutoGlym engine and machine degreaser and agitated useing a small setailing brush.
I need to go over this area again and re grease the linkage.

The Carbon cover's were then polished with AutoGlym SRP and waxed with AutoGlym HD wax.

I'm working on getting the bonnet catch clean, but every time I spray it my nice shiney black front cross member goes dull :(

Once that was done it was onto the body work,
Again jetwashed then washed useing Auto Finesse lather shampoo and dried using Autosmart reglaze quick detailer as a drying aid http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/autos...tailer-and-clay-lubricant-1-litr.php?cPath=68 This has a small amount of carnauba wax in it so it give's a nice glossy wet look.

A word of warning !!!
In order to be able to clean all of the inside of my front wheels I leave the hand brake off, this allows me to roll the car back and forth by pulling of pushing the spoke's on the wheels, this is great just make sure you move your hand before it get's to the caliper, I can assure you a thumb will NOT pass through the gap between the spoke's and the caliper

I'm looking at opitions for the steering wheel at the moment, it's quite badly worn in places and the red band at the top is also showing signs of wear.
I was thinking about getting a new LCR wheel but quoted £390 today, so I'm thinking about getting mine re-leathered, has anyone else looked into this ?

More great pics Darren, wish I had as much time to spend on my car! That said though, for the love of god, after washing the car, just get it going and then do a couple of progressive breaks and handbrakes in a straight line to clear the crap off your discs :) Then obviously clear off the cast off from your alloys when you are back... I hate it after I have spent ages doing a wash then all I can see is oxidisation staring at me through the alloys. I'm surprised you dont do this, especially as you are OCD about everything else :)

In regards to the wheel, have you tried the cherry polish restoration method - quite a few members have tried it and its made the wheel come up really good (well, from the pictures anyway) so might be worth trying it out as a relatively cheap alternative before anything more expensive.

I still love the engine bay though - its spotless.
