Had a set of 264/268 Shrick camshafts turn up today no other major progress because I am still waiting to get my crank back. Got a big pile of goodies waiting to fit too, which I think my Mrs has started to cotton on I been buying stuf

Progress: fitted new cams

love the stretch on them borbets mate mind if i ask the profile? want a good stretch on my 17" monos but im not sure what to go for

The engine is only 1/2 the job to get the R32 noise... Exhaust is the key thing, VW tuned the sound through it to make that noise!

Had real difficulty getting hold of oversized shells, which has put things on hold, but luckily the damage on the crank has polished out, so am just waiting for my shells and piston rings to turn up. Hopefully get cracking with some propper work then!

You're right, the stock exhaust is one of the best sounding available! I will be using the stock exhaust system on the car, all be it altered slightly, but hopefully to get that sound!

They are 215 40 17 on a 9.5j rim.

Sticking with N/a for now, because of the rebuild I hadn't planned on, it is costing way more than I had planned, plan is to just build up a bullet proof N/a block hopefully around 270 horses, and enjoy ragging the crap out if it. Then boost it later. Should start going back together when I get time towards the end of this week.
