To be honest i agree, but i have went from stage 1 to stage 2. My stage 1 being a proven 200-205bhp Angel Tuning remap, and the stage 2 map is defo faster, more low down torque and more power higher up the rev range. I would say these cars will be running probs 220 bhp at a guess

just like to add did you ever try your car with the standar map after the dpf delete ? i did and you would be suprised how good the standard map felt compared to the jbs

suprising how much power that dpf delete frees up with out any other mods

I went back from stage 1 to standard map for a few days after having teething problems. I felt the car was **** on standard map lol!

You lads are talking sense again!

Andy I would say the PD170 in the Leon is quicker than the standard TT, especially when you add the 4wd into the equation.

u dont get the point im trying to say

just a dpf delete makes a big difrence to how the standard map feels yes it slower u carnt compare it to a stage 2 im comparaing standard map + dpf against dpf delete and standard map thers a big difrence

but liek i said im in this for performance if i rly thort the jbs map was beter now dont you think i would put it bk on my car ?

well my jbs map wasent beter than my curent one hence the resson its not goin back on my car

ill happly do a rr day or somthing wit hevery and we can compare results its the only way to get to teh botom of it

I do know what you're saying. A dpf in itself with a stock map has good performance gains? Which i can believe, as far as performance etc is concerned, i've had different rolling road runs. I have also spoke with JBS and as far as they are concerned the car cannot be pushed any further. Even with a hybrid turbo, the boost cannot be increased. So with that, i reckon if your car has had the boost levels increased, there will be virtually no difference in peak figures between maps. Possibly on the power curves etc. But to gain masses of power out of these cars, it's time and a lot of money.

why carnt the boost be incresed with a hybrid ?

the higher the air pressure = the more air goin into your chambers add more fuel and yo uwill get a bigger explosion = more power

if they are saying the boost carnt be alterd they either carnt map the car to request more boost thru the ecu or thers somthing in the engine that carnt handel more boost i would love to kno why they hav said the boost carnt be increased sounds to me like ther giving you the information they give me pointless advice that helps nothing

saying no you carnt do this no you carnt do that is complete bollox if you hav the time and money anything is possible and for people that hav time and money how are we supposed to find the vital information to continue to upgrade wen people just say no ? seems to me they are just a FLASH AND DASH tuning company

Generic maps = more money the jbs way

custom made map = more time and effort without as much money in return = most mappers wont bother with our car

just wanted to add somthing else jbs saying you carnt increase the boost with a hybrid just leads me to belive the are uncable of maping ur ecu for more boost than 2601mbar

ther is no resson this engine carnt hit 280bhp and beyond

its the same engine as the pd140 apart from bigger turbo slightly difrent cam

siemens ecu and the piezo injectors the engine itself is well capeable of 280bhp with 2.2bar from a hybrid

so the only resson any 1 could say u carnt raise the boost more is coss they carnt raise the boost more

but it is posible

dont want to start another flame war but take from this wat you will you no its true

i will continue to find more performance for this engine and hopefully one day ill hav some figures to prove its posible

also i would like it if any one with thsi engine has had it on the dyno dynamix dyno and would care to post ther results thats if you dare ofc :D

just like to see the torq curves at the side of mine
and also see wat rpm your hiting max bhp

@225? That's like comparing against a 4wd Focus ST?!

Phil, im glad you brought this thread back on topic, it was getting a bit heated :D

But you know we could always line up all the de-dpf cars and have a drag race? we could close a few roads near Awesome's place at their 2011 Bash on 31st July :D now to put my fire-suit back on...

anyone had any problems with smoke on gear changes as a result of this mod? mainly after sitting idle (in traffic) for a few minutes, as i pull away and shift into 2nd, i notice smoke out of the rear....

Big Update

Today ive removed my EGR Valve and fitted a Roadsport kit made by Darkside Developements (Similar to the one Allard Make)

I took it out for a 20 minute drive, With a mixture of town driving and pure hard driving and so far, Ive not managed to make it stutter at all, Also so far no warning lights

With the Reducer gasket fitted before it would still stutter but not half as much as it did standard

I will report back after the weekend as im driving from Milton Keynes to Scotland (5 hours on M1 and M6) So if its going to stutter it will on that drive

Emissions Control Warning light is now on, This is expected as the EGR Sensor is unplugged

I know i can get it mapped out but JBS want like 100+ to map it out and if i switch to ***** its going to cost me £400 for a new map so il just drive around with the light on for now. Ive got VCDS so i can keep scanning

turning to the dark side Andrew? Let me know if you do get a Shrimp and how it compares wont ya, be interesting to have it stacked up against Revo's new stage 2 as well, but they havent got back to me with a price or details yet, but Bruce GT3 has given his 0-60 time and 1/4mile after having it done

Its alot of expense really mate £400 to get another remap done just to turn off EGR light and maybe and it is a maybe have a little more power. So il see how it goes
