Did I miss something or is it transparent vinyl?[B)]

Look at your post, look at my sig pic, now look back at the latest pic of my car, then back at my sig pic, then back again at the latest pic....Now do you realise I have matte black vinyl wrapped the centre door pillars..........I'm on a horse

A few pics I had taken the night before after a Tiki detail and a few from Inters:

Started the EGR delete mod, here's how it looked before:

DSCF3960.jpg

Was fiddly and a right bar-steward to get your fingers in but got the EGR off:

Build up of crap in the EGR and the inlet manifold!

Cleaned up and fitted straight through pipe

Performance wise, actually made a significant difference! Less lag = a little more kick :)
Can't for the a decat, then saving for a remap!

I would have gone for the wingnut mod Arun. You would have kept the ASV so engine shuts down nicely and had same gains cause the EGR would be clean. Anyway looks good!

I dunno what the wingnut mod is, i'm assuming its the blanking plate/blocking off the vac hose?

EGR is crap anyway, except help emissions (which is smoke test, and can pass with a decat and no EGR anyway ;) )

EGR is clever in theory, in practice is a load of crap, so removing/blocking it is a great idea IMO.

I will be blanking mine off soon :)

Gut out the plunger on the EGR. Take the opportunity to smooth it all out and clean up the EGR also. Leave the ASV in place and plank of the bottom. Remove the VAC hose and get the EGR error mapped out of the car...works same as the racepipe with less chance or a runaway and clean shutdown.

Oh thanks Jon, read about them before, didn't know they were called that lol.

I'm just blank off my one, then blank off the vac hoses too, voila, mate did it to his leon, never bought up an error code :D

nice looking bora, you are pretty lucky with that sump it doesnt take much to crack them, mine is currently half chemical metal, you should look into getting the one with the steel bottom they are only £80 from david at sere

Sumps aren't strong .......Well mine might be ;)

No error codes, i think it was the PD engines that had fault codes come up, but can be easily erased with VAGCOM I'm sure.

Click, It was an Allard one like that but got it cheaper in an auction :)

haha. I've definitely not done it recently, must have been before the spacers went in. I remember scraping something on the centre of a cambered road, thought it was the subframe, must have been the sump.

I'm the most careful driver out there, Locals hate it 'cus I always hold them up but oh well :p

Cheers man :)
I won't be needing one yet, as the engines raised 25mm so seems pretty safe up there, would need to hit something stupid high and thin to get it lol. But I've noted that down just incase I do need one :)

Tell me about it. Battle scars ftw :p

Car should be going in for the poly bushes and MOT this week or next. Gonna be expensive, especially as I've not been able to work :(

Ghey!!
