Your K03 manifold will become your 'choke' point
I would expect this to hold back power considerably and raise egt's

Doubt you'd get that anyway
As you may seen i recently bought a GT2871R with mani, etc and will only make 370 tops but the same seller reckons 400 with OE K04 mani??
The turbo maybe be able to flow this but your setup wont
I too looked at this sellers offerings and spoke to the people who fit them, they wont achieve
If cost governs try getting a 2nd hand proper kit

As said above if you want around 300bhp then speak to bill about his k03s hybrid it's a special bit of kit and as said above that kit has the potential to need alot of fabricating work required to get it to fit.

Also be weary of garrets on eBay! Friends had been caught out, there are trademark laws that allow you to be able to sell stuff that was made in tiwan if it is a trademark over there or something. If I was going to be buying a garrett thesedays, then unfortunately I would have to look to buy from a garrett recommended dealer.

Even better as you can use the K03 setup & also the JBS K03 high flow cast manifold is supposed to be very good. The only issue with K03 is that you can't fit a 3" inlet due to the coolant lines which limits further potential but should still hit 300bhp with the manifold.

Kind of a negative comment after another one isn't it? a lot of people have made 300-320 with this kit on Golf forums on weaker engines with standard internals and no problems at all, i'm still educating myself about this set-up but from what I've gathered, it's a good one.

Really? it's a bad fitting then, i.e turbo rubbing on things etc? that's no good!

get it Mo, you know you want to :D

I do I do!, I've convinced the mrs! but not fully convinced myself !!!!!!!

If you only want 300bhp then you might as well go K04, we're all making in the region of that now.

That region but it's really stressing the hell out of K04 and with my style of driving, i'd pop it in no time, plus to get that from a K04 your having to upgrade the injectors anyway, weighing in the pro's and cons', cost etc, it's not far off going BT

Myself, Sam (Pyro) and a few others have asked Bill a few times for package prices etc to no avail...........

Which kit needs a lot of fabricating work the one I posted or Bills K03S Hybrid + ?!

Tell me more

I know it looks a very good piece of kit for the money and a fair few people are running this set-up

No prices mate, i'd rather know up front about prices so I can work out how much fitting is going to cost etc, I have tons of mechanic mates who are great at building high performance cars

If Bill could provide a package price, fitting etc etc then I would consider it.

i too also considered this kit option but not sure how my standard internals would coupe and for how long cars is currently on 118k miles so maybe if i do decide to get an audi s3 again might be buying one for that build

Oh yes, I forgot about that

But surely BT & k03 Hybrid will require at least 380cc anyway? The benefit of these conversions is it's all OE, personally K03 hybrid with JBS mani would be the most attractive option and cheapeast surely although hybrid & BT will require custom mapping which is very expensive, k04 would get away with 'generic' stage 2?

Mo means tgat a few of the guys pushing the 300 point in there lcrs are maxing out there injectors so they need 4bar FPR or bigger injectors

IMO 440cc are the best to go for as you won't be maxing them out on the kit etc etc as Jay said 380 at the least

Mo email bill personally and tel him what you want and he should get back to you I will be mailing him at sone point but ATM funds aren't good so no oire power for me :( lol
