4K!??????? + £3-4 for my LC depending on braking it or selling it for what I think it's worth = 8K = a nice factory car with 4 wheel drive/ rear wheel drive, a big garrett turbo and xxx bhp with room for a lot more

God damn........... decisions.

I'm setting my budget at around 2-2.5K based on mechanic friends discounts when it comes to fitting.

nice go 4 it mo , i would do it if i had the cash , think thats my main reason i don't want more than 260-270bhp and aroung similar ft/lbs of torque these rods won't take it and i don't really wan2 spend on building the engine at least not right now anyway

How much is you K04 conversion costing you / will cost you?! well i'll link you up soon anyway to get a jist of things, I might just go down that route instead. Aim for about 280Bhp

well so far ,

turbo £300
oil line and coolant line, 3" tip , injectors, exhaust manifold, nults and bolts £290
3" down pipe and decat 170 , £760 so far

left to do maf housing , and got order another jetex open cone filter from bill :( , only had this one a month , then labour is around £200-£250 to fit the lot , then can't decide whether to take it to bill or jabba to get it mapped cause jabba as done loads of lpg big turbo maps before but bill's knowledge is king decisions :(

Looks like a Disco turbo-rated very highly for response and 300-350bhp.Not sure what size the wheels are in your standard turbo to compare though.

I just ordered a GT3071 and it was going to be either from these or Turbo Dynamics.I went with TD in the end purely because they have more experience with my car but GT3 are meant to be a good company. Its certainly a fair bit of kit for the money and looks good value when you see whats included.

If you contact them direct, you can try for some discount-I managed to negotiate some with them as there is no Ebay slice of the pie that way.

What have you based the 4K on ?

From my calculations, including friendly mechanic friends, family who know what their doing, it's about £2 - 2.5K TOPS?!!

Are you basing 4K on, "give the car to someone and let them do it" ?

there is highflow k03 mani on fleebay for £80 which i l=told is good from a mk4 golf guy,

lcr housing is like 20-30quid
in line fuel pump £70
con rods £250-350 (optional depending on map) revo said they can map it suit standard internals
fleebay big intercooler and 2.5" piping around £250-300
you can custom male your own tip probably for around £80
clutch and smf (300-500)
custom map , from stealth rafing would be cheaper i would of taught for yourself having had stage 2 £200-500, so around £1700 quid maybe less so no where near the 4k

I've already got:

2.5" bore pipes on my intercooler, Toyo rate the intercooler for up to 400Bhp

4 Bar FPR

Stealth Racing Custom Stage 2 £420! Vince will be able to tweak that though to handle the K04

Scrapyard for the injectors from Cupra R, S3, TT ..

Scrapyard for Cupra R, S3, TT TIP as a base to make my own, some decent aluminium welders in brum

I've got tons of hoses / joints lying about in the house

My A'Pexi is universal, so only need to change the adaptor not the element

Scrapyard for Cupra R/S3/TT Fuel pump or Walbro 224 fuel pump, someones always got 1 for sale in the Lancer forums.

It was including the price of the turbo kit as well at 1400 and all the other bits that would also no doubt end up needing such as stronger spark plugs oil, oil filter, fuel filter(+ relocation of filter with all fittings) cast manifold

If your looking at a mani then get your standard one porter by bill. Went to his workshop recently and he has a pile of various manifolds that have failed on him and other cars and the standard ported one (k03s fitment) always comes out trumps, not problem with fitting as it's standard and takes up alot less room then most other manifolds and with the eliminator kit you have to use the standard mani as nothing else will fit where the pipe turns up from below it which the turbo sits on

Sounds good, I would have done this anyway, after researching mani's, some utter crap is out there and the good ones are stupid prices

i here mo , having spoken to jabba again today , they reckon with all the factors ion mind of the auq engine being one of the weakest , and compression ratios that 260 is around what i'll be getting maybe 270 at a extreme push even with the 3" tip and fmic , which to them seems abit a little from the money i'm spending , but think me its the best option still not convinced on hybrids but thats just me
