You should be fine with hids, just make sure if you need to get any warranty work done that requires the dealer to lift the bonnet, that you have taken them out.
Led sidelights and number plate lights tidy up most cars and is a good cheap mod
Thought about lowering it? Standard suspension sits way too high, just like the mk4!

lowering will not be happening to this car, hated it in the snow last year!

Don't buy all LEDs for side lights as they will put the dash warning light on.
Buy 2 packs of ULTRA 501 sidelights bulbs THESE ONES
They should give a nice white lights without the warning light and cheap too

I tend to get the piss taken out of me by my neighbour for cleaning my car on usually a weekly basis...I have a nice car, whats wrong with keeping it clean? I don't think I've seen some of my neighbours clean their cars EVER in the 6 years I've lived here!! lol
A lot of ppl don't get the idea that there are others out there who are passionate about their cars.
Car looks nice and clean. I clean my car (mostly) on a weekly basis, and wax every month, the neighbours probably think i'm mad as they never wash their cars, they got an 11 reg at the beginning of march and only washed it for the first time the other day
Everyone's different but we have 4 cars and a motorbike in our house and they are all kept spotless! In fact I'm sure my dad has washed his bike twice this weekend lol! I think some people see it as a chore but for me its a good chance to get a tan on....yes the sun does sometimes shine in scotland

Lol at the tanning, my neck got a bit stingy a few weeks back when we had a spell of decent weather when cleaning my car. Sun is long gone now though
I get this everytime i clean my car at my parents house, have the usual ''Oh you can do my car afterwards'' etc etc.
Think its the whole thing of not seeing a female often washing the car and not caring for it as much as other girls.
Gotta treat it like i treat myself, clean and smelling/looking good haha.
good job with the cleaning, i get it all the time from neighbours, "you can do ours too" or "out cleaning again" yada yada, i never see anyone else in the street clean there car just me and my brother, but has to be said im worst for for it, forever cleaning it.
I get the cleaning digs too. I even clean the 'rents A6 for them as I can't stand seeing it dirty on the drive next to mine!
Must say though I've never yet got a tan washing the car, it's either sunnier in Scotland than Manchester or I'm not dressed scantily enough
