sootchucker is minted......... instead of filling up once a week i'm filling up once a fortnight. my road tax is half what the LCR was and my insurance is down to £31 a month!!!

not moved through yet, still staying in ardrossan for the time being

Yeah its had a respray at some point but not sure when. Paintwork is mint on it and the only rust is under the boot and its hidden

you wouldn't even need to buy one thats for spares............ you can pick a full car up for cheap cheap these days........ no one is wanting to run a 2.8 petrol these days, everything thats not a diesel is dropping in price big time. one of my mates bought one for £600 that only needed a weld on the sill!!!! there are bargains to be had out there stevie

Yeah theres one on gumtree in Irvine for £700 no tax though but i might see whats the lowest he will take then try get it down a bit

Picked up my MK3 Golf VR6 donor car today id like to have got the engine in before the National meet but it wont happen untill after unfortunately. Think we are going to strip everything out the mk3 that we need then just break/scrap it so if anyones after some mk3 bits pm me haha

Going to do the chains on it while the engine is out just for piece of mind as its covered 140k but it still sounds very healthy.

Im keeping the clutch cable so if anyone knows where i can get a conversion kit to make my box work with the VR id appreciate it ive heard a cable from a 16v toledo will do :S

Ill get some pics of the donor up tomorrow its a right shed but has nice wheels on it

Nah its not got recaros Alex well i dont think it does lol its the one on SVAG you were asking about the headlights bud

The jacking points need welding Scott plus i need too much off the car including the breaks so ill probably just scrap it but ive got a few things to sell off it like wheels, cat back exhaust interior plus my mates wanting some parts off it.

Gonna sound daft here but whats the MAF size on the VR6 (92 reg) i read its 76mm but not 100% sure and i cant get to the car untill wednesday need to order a filter.

Timing chains been shipped from IE today along with new oil and plugs from Opie Oils
