There making you one? When I rang them they said they won't make me one as there pretty easy to come by,

This is true it's not really worth the hassle to make one from scratch as you can pick them up easily hence why I purchased the Milltek downpipe and decat combo but unfortunately for some reason it didn't work out. Going to investigate further with Milltek and the distributor I purchased from. Reason the guys did it for me is because everything was out and I couldn't get stuck up birmingham as I needed to get back to London

Happy to say that after a long day the exhaust is done and am very happy with the result. Will be posting pics and a full report soon. For now it's adios from me ad I'm going out to enjoy the sounds and performance ;)

Hiya,

I've got a long list of things to do suspension wise, and front ARB is definatly on the list. Have you got any pointers for dropping / taking the subframe out? Going to try and do coilovers, full bush kit and both ARB's at the same time. Just a bit concious about the level of difficulty in dropping / removing the subframe.

All help appreciated. :)

Hi mate,

Not sure if you sure the pictures for when we did the first set of suspension mods earlier in this thread. We did this on axle stands, which at first sounded like a stupid idea but in actual fact it helped a lot as we were able to use our whole body to hold it up in place when trying to put it back on. It's definitely a two man job, its pretty straight forward to take off actually once your under the car you will see the bolts you need to remove for it to come down. Make sure you unbolt the gearbox mount (dog bone mount) first as this will come down with the subframe. Putting it up is where you really need a second person to help you. They can hold it up in place while you put all the bolts back in place.

Remember some bolts might be a bit tight if they have never been taken off before, I found this for several around the car so take your time with it all. Would recommend having some copper grease to apply for when putting them back on.

Excellent, Did you support the engine from underneath when removing it? Where about's did you place the axle stands? Was thinking about trying to put it on bricks to spread the weight? Is removing it a one man job? and refitting it a two man job? Does it have specific torque settings?

No worries mate fire away, I will try to help as much as possible. I'd say a two man job really, just helps a great deal when removing and placing it back together.

Think the below two pics show best where we had the car jacked up and supported:

Two side jacks in the original jacking point along with a extra third one for peace of mind (subframe still in place):

We then removed the middle jack and removed the subframe. We then put a third jack in the middle again for peace of mind while we were working on taking the old ARB off the subframe and installing the new:

I can't remember the torque settings (if any) as I left that part to my mechanic mate as he knows all that best.

Hell yeah ;) Although I have to wait until tomorrow to pick it up as I won't make it back there today in time..........boohoo!!

Ha ha, it's ok I'm off today, I'll go pick it up and check she's feeling mapped mate ;)
