Well after the selling the Ibiza which i kind of regret doing now i had to find a replacement. Ive always fancied a mk2 golf and thought too myself i may aswell try one so the search started last thursday and that same night i had pretty much sorted a deal with my mate who decided to sell his.

Its only a 1.8 8v but it seems to pull pretty well considering it has 204k on the clocks :lol: it had a rebuild at 170k though. First thing i done when i got it home was give it a wee service also replaced the dizzy cap and rotor arm.

Plans are to get hold of a cheap mk3 vr6 and fire the engine into the mk2 i had thought about putting a 20vt into it but i think it would be pretty insane and harsh on the tyres haha

Yeah ive always liked mk2's but i never actually thought id buy one :lol: Its a lose lose sitiuation with the tyres i suppose ... ill need to vr it just for the noise though but wont be done for a while

Yeah it is conis lol it had a few wee niggles tos ort out but nothing major i also need to get 2 front tyres fitted today!

I may take you up on that offer gary as id like to know everything before i even get started on the conversion rather than jumping in gung ho. Ill be coming to the annual meet anyways ill be struggling to keep up though :lol:

haha those wheels are staying on they could be doing with a refurb though. Yeah i miss the power sean but the looks this wee car gets is unreal people stopping in the street to take a wee look :D

Cheers but all credit to Coni though as he done everything :lol: im just gonna vr it eventually although i am liking the mpg with this 1.8 8v :D

How is your soot chucker? Have you moved through to edinburgh yet?
