18" 8j 215*35

Hoioi,

I'm wondering if 18" 8J with a 215 35 tire will fit without any problems, the car is lowered with an Eibach pro kit. (so nothing crazy)
Seen a nice set of wheels, but they only come in that size.

You'll should be fine mate, whats the ET

i was running 215/35/18 but on a 7j ET 35 with adaptors

215 will give a slight stretch on an 8, this was the same tyre on a 7.5j wheel i also had

thats a real nice tight fit^ 8j will give a very slight stretch

what wheels are they mate?

sounds about right mate, i tryed 8j ET35 on mine aswell but never put tyres on

they fitted really nice but were VERY close to the coilover on the inside, but could be more of a problem for your depending on the thickness of your shocks and spings, the inside of the wheel might hit them

Sorry to hijack like this but do you know if 225/40/18 7.5j will fit, without spacers. The car is not lowered and I can order as low the et as I need.

Im looking to upgrade my wheels to 18" ones aswell but I want to be sure what sizes I need first.

Can anyone tell me exactly what sizes I will need? Its for a Cupra.

tbh i would think 40 profiles on an 18 would be too big, my Mazda wheels with 215/35/18s where rubbing on the inner arch, okay mines lowered but even if it wasnt it would have been close.

theres not many running 18's but pretty much all i know are running 35 profile tyres.

tyre size or wheel width etc?

tyre size will depend on the width of the new wheels, common sizes for wheels in 18s would be 7.5j, 8j or 8.5j

what ive found is 7.5j or 8j fit the ibiza best around ET40ish

your looking at either a 215 or a 225/35/18 tyre, fairly common sizes.

Thanks for that Tom, Im looking for wheel width as i'd be getting tyres for them at a later date,

On the Revo shop, It says either I can get 18x8 or 18x9, so would 18x8 be the one I should go for?

Not very good with wheel sizes find it confusing lol

Well the thing is that I want to go for Michelin Pilot Sport Cups and 225/40/18 is the smallest size available. Et is not a problem as I can order as low as I want it like 35 or even 30. Btw by adjusting the camber angle (negative) wouldn't that prevent the tire from scratching the arch while steering left or right?

why on earth does it have to be PS cups!

why not go toyo 888s
