good weekend car wise. gave it a quick going over... not a brilliant job but better than the 3weeks filth!
Fitted the rear mudflaps, towing eye (cut and tapped original, but still dont trust it to use, so bought another eye as a functional one), drilled the airbox and DIY'd the short shifter.
The strap was way too long for me, so i folded it in half and cable tied it for now... not sure what i will do with it... just fitting it made alot of the red plastic go pink!!
The short shift is amazing... best mod i've done by far!

Thanks for the pics mate, I like the look of the exhaust, pretty close to OE looking.

That's why I wanted one of I'm honest. Don't want it in yor far at all... Just standard looking. Lovely note to it too.
The wheels are my favourite part. Going to get them refurbed in the summer, either silver or anthracite.

Same here mate, you helped me make my decision on the exhaust, just need to get the CV boots and four wheel alignment sorted first!
Are you going to refurb the wheels yourself? I reckon a matt anthracite might look quite smart against the silver on yours, I have seen a similar thing done on the standard starfish alloys and that looked really tidy.

Got myself a new job... and after going to a mini meet yesterday in my area... im in love with the leon again.
Im going to get the bodywork tidied up, and was thinking about the roof and the bonnet.. i am thinking about black roof/spoiler and maybe a black bonnet?
what do you think?

picked up a decat for the Leon for £50 from ebay... pretty certain it isnt a 3" but for £50 im not all that fussed.
The overall aim is to get it on for now, and then find someone who wants to swap their nonres system for mine... i just want to pop and bang!
might fiddle with the fuel overun when i get the decat it to see if it makes any difference.

haha your looking to pop flames? i presume by the fuel and over run plus pops and bangs? your just like me you need to grow up haha
yep! i want to get it spitting... but not sure i can justify the whole new exhaust system just for flames... i do like the milltek system... just want something that gives the leon a meaner sound... its very understated atm.

Not sure about the black roof / bonnet idea on a silver car - think it can make a car look unfinished if you follow, but it's ultimately your opinion and taste that counts...
Did you use the 3M di-noc on the handles? You done a good job looking at the photo, shame it needs re-doing. That stuff is damn difficult to use - tried it on my wing mirror housings but abandoned it soon after starting!

MOT time is gonna be a right faff with a de-cat. Is there a known performance advantage over a sport cat vs. de-cat on the 20VT or just the price difference, guys?

yeah i have decided against the black... silver all the way!
yeah i used 3M on the handles... two came out perfect, two were not so good... probably my own fault in some way or another! right pain in the backside to do.
yeah MOT is going to be a pain, but i think it shouldnt be too difficult if im honest... depends if i can find a friendly station.
For me, its the price difference!
No progress on the wheels just yet... soon to start on a new job, so i might get them done!

Haha - good luck in finding that testing station mate! Heard a rumour that MOT testing might be changing - MOT's every other year as opposed to every year...

VERY happy... changed the note of the exhaust, it is lower and more grumbly... when you open her out it growls... if im honest im not even bothered about it not popping and banging now... and i dont think i will buy another exhaust just for that and i get enough attention from the dibble.

The 3m di-noc on the door handles failed epically... after 6months its coming off. So now im going to paint them, along with the centre console.
What do people think about silver or red? The silver wont be colour coded because it wont matter that much... and the red could be to tie in the with mudflaps, badge and towing eye
im going to be redoing the A/B/C pillars black as waiting for an LCR to be broken and come up cheapish is killing me.
