Aw, crap. Always something...I'll try it with the APR stage 1 turned off (got the cruise control switch to turn off option) and see what it reads. probably back to Awesome GTI after that, then...

i cant remember what stage 1 runs at, but 2.5 bar is like 35 ish psi. that sounds mega high.
what does it hold (boost wise)

Forge 007p DV. I think that the above logs *do* show requested vs actual boost, don't they? I just did a vag-com log of the blocks suggested...happy to be corrected if I'm reading it wrong?

correct me if im wrong, but is that not 2.5 bar, so only really 1.5 bar of boost ? seeing as were always at 1? i bet at idle its about 1 bar, or there abouts

Would also explain the lower readings I get with a bluetooth dongle and Torque app on android...
This is exactly the kind of stuff i need to know, if the readings are absolute rather than relative then it's all good I guess? HEEEEELP!

P.S. Cheers guys. You're pretty darn responsive and helpful on here.

its atmospheric im sure. so you got nothing to worry about . cant imagine you having a bar of boost at 2.3k lol !! if you had 2.5 bar of boost it would be rapid lol

thank f*** for that, I'm waiting for the car to come back after having the power steering fixed and a misfire sorted (coil packs) and was just looking back at these logs going "hang on a second..."...!

Will read it to check but guess you're right - 1 bar at 800rpm seems a little unlikely...!

hahahaa, OK, I feel better about it all now.

P.S. have you guys all come across Torque on Android? Kind of live VCDS-lite on your phone using a 15 quid bluetooth dongle plugged into your ODBII port? If you've not come across it it's bloody marvellous...

Cool. I ended up being the Torque evangelist on the TT forum. Frigging great app, it was my logs to the dev that got boost reading on VAG cars working...!
