Have you got longer bolts for the 5mm spacers? As IIRC you dont need to, may have something to do with the stress on the bolts but thats just a wild stab in the dark, maybe just invest in some 5mm then, how much did you get them for if you dont mind me asking

just used the standard bolts that came with the adapters. i have an impact wrench so made them super tight. i am going to check them again in a few days to make double sure!

wat u going to do nxt?

Had a supersprint exhaust in the boot for a good month now so hopefully get that on very soon and the helper springs taken out the front, want to get the stance perfect as it is do-able but just a lot of trail and error. Maybe go for tints next and rear 3 windows and lights then i should be skint for a long time haha!

Only ever seen one set of white D90s on a Golf Rallye (i think) and they looked sweet! I know what you mean theres a few sets about now but they are beauts (and easy to clean :p)

Had a good look at front coilovers yesterday and decided to take out the helper springs completely would be too risky as the coil could just become loose at any time. Therefore i have opted to buy shorter helper springs from GAZ, these are wafer thin and will not make the coil be able to come loose. These will help me loose about an inch off the front :D

i started to spray the inserts on the d90s. it loooked really good but i just decided on plain silver!

there are not many sets of d90s on the 6L until the last few months! there are loads on golfs etc so there is a good chance that any idea u think of would have been dont about 10 time previously!

True, but as you say not many on the 6Ls so there is grounds for being unique :)

All i can say is I can't wait to finish my first year of uni in a few weeks then I will have some time to focus on the car as much as i want untill i start a job over the summer to pay for it!

what do you mean by helper springs on the front? surely you can't just take the whole spring out?

The helper springs are the smaller spring that sit underneath the main spring on the front, you can take these out completely, and people have, but it is risky as when going over a bump the main spring could come loose with these not in. Therefore buying a smaller one means you still get a drop and no risk of the main spring coming out :)
