Update on the splitter,

Done it properly now. Wasn't quite happy with it before so set it back aBit and flared out the sides more to follow the shape of the bumper. Looks pretty good I reckon.

Gotta love the heat gun lol.

And a quick snap of the back for the sake of it lol

Did you remove the two black plastic bits at either side of the bumper before putting the splitter on? Any chance of some close ups?

Hi ya, I have a Leon Cupra Diesel Mark 1. I keep hearing that people are putting on front Cupra R splitters on.

Is this a good thing and easy to fit?

Also there are plenty of poo speed bumps where I live which I normally take in 1st gear as they are a bit harsh but not too high. Maybe being a bit over cautious

Thanks

Yeh, those two plastic bits are one piece, its the just the undertray thing for the bumper,
Took the bumper off, and then the undertray just unclips,
Will be a similar set up for the coop i would've thought,

But you can set it abit further forward so it sticks out more, on the coop cos the bumper flares out.

I tried it further forward on mine n dint look right so I set it back abit and then flared the sides out With the heat gun to make it follow the bumper better.

Hope this helps

Yeh, there quite easy to fit, will probably be easier to fit to a Leon because the splitter will follow the shape of the bumper so u won't need to change the shape or oat,

Easy to do, just put self tappers if u want but if u have lots of speedbumps in your area like me probs best to fasten it on with nuts and bolts, mines got about 12 nuts and bolts in it, seems abit over the top I know, bit it'll never come off lol, n no. Just creep over bumps n you'll be sound.

You can leave it on, but its easier if u take it off and you can make it a much neater job. And it'll deffo be in the middle lol.

Not that hard, just clips off with abit of force.

P.s. To those who said I should get it sprayed gloss black, I took note and gave it some love with AUTOGLYM bumper care, Which has shined it up nicely and given it a glossier look.

Cheers, Scott.

For some reason i'm still not convinced on this on the SC. I think its because of the roundness of the bumper, would definately have to see one in person.

Thanks Scott, only seeing this now lol

Yeah likewise. Still doesn't quite follow the line of the bumper the way I'd like it to have done. Perhaps if the undertray was removed first and this fitted in it's place and bent with a heat gun to match the shape of the bumper??
