Just bought a LCR splitter for my 1.4 sc, anyone got one?, how did they fit it pics?

make sure you put enough screws in otherwise youll be regretting if your down low...i had one on my fiesta and hit all speed bumps...i put loads of screws in and even replaced one before and it still broke

Yeh, I've done a few bits an bob, nothing major,

I made the grill,

Took the standard grill, cut the horizontal slats out,
The bought the seat honeycomb grill (that sits behind the slats usually, and the painted the surround and the chrome strip.

Here's so pics

Then painted the surround,

Then fitted the honeycomb to the surround,

And put it in the beefa

Job done.

Where did you get your HID kit mate?
And how much roughly was it to get?

Im either lookiung at HID kit or just some white LEDs for the all the front lights

Lol that's mint!!, love the trooper,

Hids are a doddle.

I got the kit for £35 inc postage.

Don't get led main beams cos there not very bright and you can't see anything, look good but no good for purpose,


Get led sidlights, but they will put the dashboard light failure light on, but just plug it into vagcom and turn that off.

Just search 'hid slim kit h7' in eBay n you'll find loads of kits,

Looks proper oem,
Only modification you have to do is grind a 20mm holes in the plastic caps at the back of the light, n then put the wires through in the middle of a rubber grommet (to stop condensation)

My kit can with one already on the loom,
Then just secure each ballast somewhere in the engine bay n that it's job done.

Mine are 8000k so they've got that blue look,
But if u want White like normals xenons then u want 6500k

Update on the splitter,


Done it properly now. Wasn't quite happy with it before so set it back aBit and flared out the sides more to follow the shape of the bumper. Looks pretty good I reckon.

Gotta love the heat gun lol.

am well fooked off just had my splitter done gloss black and was supposed to get it fitted today.. but it went under the seat yesterday and when i moved it back it bent it badly well fooked offf 60quid down the swanny ((

ive just had the roof done mirrors and grill on my leon they sprayed the splitter but broke it yest well miffed off bout it lol

Mate, that's crap.

I'm not sure if I'm even gonna paint mine now. Cos it blends in nicely with the plastic bits on the bumper under the fogs.

Dunno.

But yeh sorry to hear about your splitter. At least the rest will look mint I'm sure.
