remember it's not so much what they give you trade in, more what the cost to change is. I'm sure you will love it compared to the 1.2. Takes a wee while to get used to the extra power though, especially when your car is double the power of your last. Mines is only 30hp more than my old car but is much faster cos all the lovely torque! When you pick it up then?

Sounds good Lawrie! Nice step up from a 1.2 :funk:

How much is the insurance costing you if you don't mind me asking? I was looking at a Cupra TDi before I got my FR.. and the insurance was over £2k!

How many years NCB have you got? How many years/months driving and age?

£1400 is for 1 year driving, 2 years NCB.

1 year driving 2 years ncb?

Me: 2 years driving, 20k per year, 3 points for speeding, 1 ncb, just turned 19, don't live in the best area - paid just under £950 fully comp, main driver

Well, I am on the '10 month bonus accelerator' with Admiral. On my first policy, I started driving in November 2009 (whilst on provisional), passed June 2010, renewed policy in September 2010. Will have been driving (with a full UK license) for 1 year this June, and 2 years NCB in July :)

How much does your policy cost you? I have a clean license, 6k miles per year and live in a good area....

I just got a quote, as a 19 year old, 2 years driving, 3 years NCB, 6k miles, £350 excess. £845.

My 1.2 would be £666.66! Only like £180 more for about 90% extra BHP :O

A cupra would be £1790!!!! :-o
The petrol cupra is about £1400..

SO tempted to get an FR next year! :D

well i'm 21, driving for 2 years, 2 years ncb, clean license. got a work van now so i'm social only insurance up to 7k/year and it's £1500 with my old man as a named driver :D

the PD100 would have only been 60 quid more than my 1.2 lmao!!

a worthy money sacrafice in my opinion! planning on keeping this for about 5 years then going 20VT possibly?

anyway, this weekends all about pulling all my stuff out the 1.2 and preparing a collection of fresh underwear for picking up the cupra :D
