Cheers for the comments. Theres some awesome LCR bays about these days. Sadly at the moment mines lagging behind:cry:. Plenty more to come bay wise soon though. Cant wait to get cracking:D.

All the parts turned up today for the heatshield, unfortunatley nobody was in so they've gone to the local post office. Got to wait 48 hours before I can collect:cry:.

Collected a few things from the post office this week and was able to crack on with my custom Jamspeed heatshield. Whilst changing the TIP I trial fitted the template to get the positing of the MAF hole:

This weekend I marked up the metal sheet and also made a slight change to take the design so it would be level with the strut brace:

I then cut it out and bent it to shape:

This was then trial fitted to ensure it was a good fit:

Once I was happy with it I painted it black and fitted the edging:

Once finished it went back on the car:

It's so easy Sam, the most time consuming part is marking the cardboard prototype.

You've exteneded yours right into the wing where mine stops, I did think about this but the air feed I have ready to sit down that side wouldn't like it :D. I may have a go at another version with the left over aluminium sheet I have once FMIC & Stage 2 are done.

Well done again dude but I'd like to apologise to Jabba for the dent in their sales. £15 custom shield

By the way, which black paint did you use for spraying? I plan on doing mine at the same time I paint some other bits, may as well get it all done at the same time.

Cheers mate. Its just Halfords high temp paint. I may slightly change it soon as I'm wanting to run another cold air feed to the filter from the fog lights.

I never fancied paying for the Jabba rip off shield and never considered fabricating my own untill seeing yours which is why it carries the Jamspeed name;)

Right gona have a go at this an compare it to my Jabbasport one
Where did you get you ally sheet from

If your going to do this mate i would get a Badger 5 3" TIP first, if you make the shield to fit your current TIP and then get the Badger 5 more then likely the MAF hole will be out of line.

I've also taken all the plastics off and sanded them down ready to be painted.

Cheers for reading.:D

The manifold and mani cover have come out great! What did you use to fill the dimples? With the plastics painted, it'll look like a very tidy engine bay; really like the contrast of red piping against the colour of your car.
