I didn't measure the bolts and there are no spacers. I'll get some pics up next weekend when I've cleaned the car up. Its a mess at the moment after all the rain etc.

The only downside is that its generic code so results can vary from car to car and you can't back it off to save the clutch. I knew the clutch would give out eventually but decided that it didn't bother me and that I'd just have to spend a bit more when it did go on an upgraded one.

I have just had Revo on my car have 199BHP and 286 lbft torque which as you say varies car to car

I've posted a reply on your own thread, but basically, different dyno's on different days in different weather can give different results. Also, clutch slippage will affect the result too and I saw in your thread that the clutch is feeling the strain of all those new torques!!!! Welcome to the party though!! Get yourself the Sachs uprated clutch (might as well do the DMF at the same time too) and you'll notice a difference. It aint cheap but its the only way to do it properly. I tried the cheaper way with just a paddle plate and it just cost me more labour and more parts as I ended up doing it the way I knew I should have in the first place by going Sachs!

Not yet fella - I've had the bumper done and it came up good so now just waiting until after the winter to get a front end respray in full. There's not much else that needs doing at the moment. Sailed through the MOT (and service) and was complemented on how well it has been kept (despite the stone chips), how well it drives and that you'd never know it had 95k on it.

What do you reckon on the paint..... do you think I should wait or just do it whilst I've got a spare car ?(never got round to selling the Mondeo - still in my garage having not been used for nearly 3 months!)

Love your car photos S3 AKR - can I ask a stupid question pls?!
How did you get your car upto 202hp, by retuning it or is there a chip I can buy to do this to my standard 150hp car?
As you may have noticed, I know very little about cars!

Simples - go to a reputable tuner (advertisers on here, Revo, AMD, Custom Code, Jabba Sport to name a few but not all!!) and give them around £300!! That will get you to about 190bhp depending on the tuner and how they configure their maps. Exhaust, filter add a little more to the mix and don't forget to consider brakes and suspension too.

Revo is quite peaky - ie boost comes in hard and fast and tails off fast too. Others tend to be less peaky so you get more power earlier and for longer although the headline value may be less than Revo. I happen to like the peaky Revo code myself, others prefer the flatter torque curve of others.

You will need a clutch at some point on a PD150 car. The torque of diesels soon has the standard one slipping. Budget £800 for a new one to do it properly (I tried to do it cheaply and it just doesn't work), or have the car "custom" mapped by one of the tuners on a rolling road but to lower torque figures to prolong the clutch. Revo doesn't allow you to do that - you have been warned!!!

Lastly - search on here for others experiences as there are loads of opinions and views but in the end is very much down to the service you receive at the tuner and personal preferences on how your car drives or even simply a case of a tuner being closest to where you live!

As part of the contract of sale there will be regular inspections and visitation rights!!!

I'll still be on here a lot as I still have the Tolly Track Toy to play around with so pm me anytime with any questions etc. Enjoy it, and please - look after it!!

You bought a good car there!

Shame to see her go S3 AKR

I have to admit, that as someone who never kept a car more than a year, it says a lot the fact that I have had this one for 6.5 years. Its served me well and will be much missed.

That m3 is stunning. Not a bad upgrade! Fell free to come see the car anytime although your looking at about £120 in petrol for a return trip in that beast! I will look after her don't worry and thanks for the offer of continued support on here that is most appreciated and the reason I came to this forum to buy a seat. Credit to Andy and the rest of you too. I'll be around on here don't worry. Looking forward to sat now. I have a brand new White golf GTD company car which is great but I am still really looking forward to getting the fr which is a credit to these cars in my view.
