One last post on this thread!

I just found these pics from the chap that bought my car (I got my plate back!!). A few months before I sold it I had the wheels refurbed and done in a darker colour to something closer to the grey surround of the dash around the stereo etc.

Before/After the refurb:-

OMG, about to out your car up for sale, gutted and just waiting for add to be approved and will link it to this thread!

The missus really loves it, but we have run out of money on our house build and it will pay for buying and fitting a kitchen, 2 bathrooms and a down stairs cloakroom in our self build... unfortunately its a no brainer.

Shes gonna have to drive a shed round unitl she finishes her Masters in May when she can buy another decent car.

Weve only done about 3,500 miles in the last 10 months!!!

Fixed the air con though, nice and cool now, and 1 glow plug needed in cylinder 2 which I have on the dresser at home, just not fitted yet.

Its quicker than my 60 reg Golf GTD 170.

Hope all is well with your M3, boy would it be nice to have one of those!

Alex.

Wish I had the cash to have it back off you!! I do miss the mid-range on it as it pulls so much better than the Tolly once on the go.

The glow plug is easy to fit.... 10 - 15 mins max. I guess its on about 102k miles now then and with a good set of tyres all round. Whoever gets it will have a well sorted car with the right money spent in all the right areas with the exception of the dog-bone being poly bushed - for me the one mistake I made but very cheap to switch back to OEM!

The M3 is awesome, just bloody thirsty!!! If I get 22-23mpg I've done well, and you notice it when a trip to Nottingham used to cost me about a third of a tank of diesel and now its costing a full tank of super-unleaded...... it hurts a bit but its worth it 100%.

I'm sure it'll sell easily and give the next owner a great base to go upto a hybrid turbo conversion without having to spend anything on things like a clutch, brakes of suspension.

Good luck with the sale mate.

Cheers. It's up in the for sale section now. May not have to sell it, if I finish the house first well keep it but it's up for sale at least for 2/4 weeks then well see.
