Ape's LCR225 Thread (Getting Back on the Road)

I saw your car recently (may have been up to a month ago) on hagley road had a feeling you might be on here. Looks very nice in the flesh

Cheers dude, if it was in the morning / early evening, I may have gone to work in it (always prefer taking the LCR over the company car, but I don't get the fuel money back!). If it was in the evening, I sometimes go for a bit of a tunnel blast with some mates in the City Centre  normally with a blue scoob and silver M5

Cheers Ronin, much appreciated :D let me know when you plan on getting the braces and I'll see if I can cobble together some cash, will he give us a group buy discount? ;)

Ordered some wind deflectors today, not really performance orientated but they've been handy when fitted to my cars in the past.

Did you get my PM Mike has 3 braces in stock @£88
I can pass on the payment details if you want

Cheers dude, I love driving it on the track and whilst I think cars should always be kept clean, I also think they should be used as well! :D

I've not changed any internals yet, there's no need really at the moment I don't think.

The box of tricks uses the CD Changer connection, so runs through the standard HU, although you can't control it from there, you have to select the tracks from the iPod. I've run the wiring through the dash and up out of the fusebox. The wires (charger and audio cable) pop out there to be connected to the iPod which is suckered to the windscreen.

I know of a second hand one that would be cheaper.. :)

It is in my boot though, and I won't be near my car for another month or so!

After a bit of digging here, I found a Connects2 Box on eBay, and the surround / tray to replace the CD Changer from Dave @ Sere on here. Easy job to change.

You've got mail  cheers bud.

IIRC you pulled up alongside of us at the traffic lights near bearwood and carried on onto the rounderbout at the top we went under onto broadstreet. Flashing would draw attention to me dont really want to do that in my mates old civic :cartman:

Yeah I was at FCS last year, was nice to be one of the quickest out there on the circuit for a change, it was still standard then too! Will be back there this year too I hope.

I'll try and find the receipt for the glove box tray for you and let you know.
