If I'm doing 70 in 6th and floor it the revs climb and then drop again.
5th does the same thing at about 55mph.

Defiantly clutch slip,
High powered clutches are expensive, might just go OEM with a new fly wheel and see what happens.

Cheers Ape!

Another short update today... Aero bits and pieces for underneath the car are fitted :D N249 that was bypassed 18 months ago has all be fully removed (I was bored), HID ballast's relocated, oil catch tank pipework revised slightly :D

Ahhh cheers mate, I'm just looking into bits to improve general stuff now so was intrigued

I've driven without one for quite a while. I'm not sure if the benefits of having it fitted are noticeable at the moment, but for completeness it's nice having it there. It may make a difference over a long journey fuel consumption-wise, or it may help with high speed stability. Need to test

Final purchase before the 'Ring will be 2 new front tyres, as the current ones are just tickling the markers :(

Here's the last bit of the N249 gubbins that I removed. I rerouted the Dump Valve hose as well so its much neater:

Undertray is also back on with new side pieces. The pieces didn't quite line up with the fixing holes in places, so in true Ape style it's been professionally bodgineered

I've been running without the side pieces and the under tray for a while too.
It'll be interesting to see if you notice any improvement with this refitted.
Well jealous about the ramp usage :(

Ronin, I sure do :D Will need to see about getting hold of the cable / terminals etc as well (any ideas?)
Completely forgot about speaking to Mike to be honest :(

The Charcoal Canister will be next for removal, as long as it doesn't throw up an EML light.
I hear that big lump of metal in the middle can come out too :cartman:

Wille, I've ran without them for a while too, I'll see how it goes with it as it does catch on the floor sometimes. I imagine high speed stability and mpg will be improved, a trip to the 'Ring should be enough distance to make a guess I reckon.

Cheers T0m :D

I will put one aside but they are a slightly different style to the one i showed you
I will try to email mike in the next few days too and see if he is able to do a few or requires enough to do a batch

Cheers Ronin, much appreciated :D let me know when you plan on getting the braces and I'll see if I can cobble together some cash, will he give us a group buy discount? ;)

Ordered some wind deflectors today, not really performance orientated but they've been handy when fitted to my cars in the past.
