4th Year service - too cheap????

I've just been quoted £350 for the 4th year service on my FR by the main Seat dealer round my way. After wiping up the spilt tea that I spat everywhere I phoned a local independant Audi/VW garage and got quoted £139 inc VAT and labour for 4th year major service.

Is this too cheap (therefore dodgy garage) or was the main stealer being particularly greedy.

Any opinion welcome.

Over here it's 90.000 km or 5 years for a cambelt change (tfsi) and that is expensive.

I was getting prices for just the service without the cambelt and water pump change. So spark plugs, fuel filter, oil change, pollen filter etc. The stealer quoted me £700 inc cambelt stuff.

Warwickshire once.
Is it your 4th year service or the 40K service?

If it's your 40K service then £350 is a joke. If it's including a cam belt as a 4 year service then £350 sounds cheap.

The Seat dealer near me tried to charge me, wait for it..... £920 for the 4th service + cambelt change!

Jokers.

Assuming you need the cambelt done too then VW are doing a special price of £299 on all cambelt jobs. That, including fourth year service came to £550 for me down here in Brighton.

Might be a silly question but does the indie price include parts? Bear in mind that proper vag oil will set you back about 30 quid or so, filters £5 to £10 each then anything else which is due on the 4yr.
