did you not coat them in sealant or nothing? lmao

as you are lazy/loaded, look into this

http://gtechniq.com/shop/3s-for-cars/exterior-coatings/c5-wheel-armour/
it chemically bonds to the wheel, so water, dirt, brake dust etc is all repelled.

I want to get some soon, all you need to do is snow foam it/wash, everything just comes off

I meant more, find someone with a black Passat, and get the grille, like I did for the Bora :p

I polished and wax'd them to! Basically want a change to now because I have had enough of compomotive and even if I wanted to keep them, they need to be sprayed another! £200 a pop could have already bought a new set of rims!

All Passat B5.5's came with the chrome grille's.... even a black Passat :p

I will be getting that 3s stuff tho, no different to polising and waxing tho is it????

haah, fair enough, tbh nice wheels eitherway :)

C5 Wheel Armour is epic, gonna try and get some at a later date, but I am happy with my Poorboys Wheel Sealant (2-3layers = win) :D

did they? I thought it was only certain specs that came with silver grilles, as i'm show the poverty spec didn't, but tbh not looked into passats too much :)

Right, gave the snot a good wash today after having my pedal box fitted at Euro Performance (haven't had two secs to myself let alone time to do that box lol) and I really can't change my compo's..... can't think of an alloy that looks any better on a Mk2 kiwi!!!

So.... I've tried the best I know of around by me, anyone recommend any one to go to to get the wheels sprayed!????

Have you had anyone who has the wheels, etch primed them then sprayed and laquered then baked in a low bake oven? Then leave the paint for a few weeks to harden.

I have had them done all ways.... the aint was too soft even after low baking and left for 2 weeks but I needed them on to get the car down to Saxon for my dog box.

But the inside of the rim needs rubbing back to because when the powder coating f@cked up I had the shot blast all the wheels but the shot blasting was a bit rough.... the face was rubbed back before spraying but the insides weren't!

Anyone got any place/person they recommend then that would be great so I can get in contact with them all go from there!

Thanks scalper.... ask away if you want to!

Phil, it as a tow bow already :) I've got some genuine Audi RS6 style rims from a A4 S-Line, just waiting for tyres apart from that not a lot more. I can't really lower it because of the use I need it for so I'm just added a new cd player as it as iPhone connection and hands free think that will be it.

Little update of my new purchase for the snot.... had enough of the steering wheel being close to the cage and after fitting the new pedal box the little play I have had in the steering colum when the clutch or brake is pressed hard due to a pin missing somehow! Now it's all nice and stiff like it should be my hand is slighly rubbing the cage so I have ordered a new 330mm Sparco 383 steering wheel

Still ensure on the Speedline Comp 2's as after speanding the weekend working & clean the snot I have started to like the Compo's again and really can't think of any alloys that would look better on the car!

They have a scratch all the way around each rim so need refurbing again!

Colour looks so good in that picture.

Only thing is it makes the missus Arosa look white, it's actually a very pale version of the kiwi

cracking pics of the trackday there m8 car looks superb as always, i have compomotives on mine as you know i had mine from new and mine didnt take long and had the smoked look on them lol i have painted them in work as im a panel beater and all my wheels are still white no yellowy stains in the corners or brake dust baked to it even now that theyre on my astra van lmao the only thing thats wrong with them is that the plank driving always seems to kerb them lol,

do you or have you looked into adjustable top mounts? im looking into them myself but dont think they can be bought without the coilovers and the only place i can find is k-sport.

keep up the good work m8

Thanks a lot gaz! Shocked that you haven't been out on track with yours, would be hell of a weapon!!

The adjustable top mounts, haven't seen any about. What do you want them for?? To sort the camber and castor or just to get some rims on??

Because if it's just to tweak the suspension for handling there is even adjustment on the collies to sort the camber just the castor is a problem as there is no adjustment for it.
