Iv had all 3 went on my mk4 Ibiza, first time it happened totally freaked me out! I was the same and thought it was something a lot more major/expensive.
At least if you ever have a coil pack go again you will know exactly what it is and not have to worry.

Hope you getting on ok with this snow!

Thought it was a coilpack but it sounds so much worse than i thought it would lol so ive got a couple spare sitting in the boot of the car just in case it happens again!

Yeah the snow is fine...been living in town for the last 6 months and the roads are fine...just a bit icy. Different story out in the sticks tho!

Spares always come in handy :)

Thats good then. Yeah, Iv been struggling a bit to say the least! Twenty minutes to get out of work car park being pushed, and a two and a half hour journey home some nights. NIGHTMARE!! But sorted now thanks to Willie sorting me out with a second set of alloys with winter grips. Now I can drive at ease :)

seen as i had sometime off work for xmas and instead of just sleeping/drinking and eating i thought i would do some work on the Wip!
Santa was good to me and bought me new speakers and headunit :) (going to do away with the center vents and fit the single din stereo in there)

Big thanks to Bazzle for helping me...and showing me the way round the mk3 :D

Whilst the dor cards where off i replaced the snapped door cable, list of things needed for the car have grown, 2 new window switches and a new splitter!

MOT Time....

Been an expensive couple of weeks for me with this car....New lambda sensor, engine/coolant temp sensor, car tax, speeding fine  and now the MOT.

Went in last thursday to fail, so i could get a list of the work that needed done so i could try and tackle some of it myself. In the end the car didnt actually do that badly. Failed the emisions test so i got a 200 cell cat welded in place (something i was going to do anyway) just got to make sure the exhaust is piping hot when they test it lol Also failed on the HID's so took the bulbs out, keeping the ballasts in place and put in OEM bulbs in (cheers Willie) final failure was the steering rack boot, Going to get the garage to do this and the alignment needed done after.

Next weekend is service time...didnt get enough time to do this before the re-test.

So fingers crossed i should have her back tonight, do a bit of saving and then get the coilovers and wheels ordered in the next couple of months :)

Was thinking, see if you can't get out of getting and paying for the tracking.
They should be able to refit the track rod without disturbing this too much.
Also as you were speaking about doing a suspension change you'll need the alignment done after this too, so paying for this twice.
If the garage measure and fit the rod properly the alignment shouldn't be too far out

I reckon the alignment is out already tho as i noticed that the tyres were wearing on the insides. Something that needs done tho...Randy has given me a price for the work, so hopefully it will be a fixed price for the lot.

Big Red is MOT'd....happy days :D
New sports cat failed the emissions test 1st time (fast idle) but after my mate taking it for a run and putting it straight on the machine she passed, with flying colours id like to add!!

Time to get saving again, hopefully my updates with then be a wee bit more interesting :)
