Thanks for the comments guys, I've had her for 12 years (since new) & she still puts a smile on my face every day. She's my daily driver & had just passed her yearly rego check & as usual, no faults. The guys that work where I get it checked love it!

As far as I know there was only 52 Cupras imported into Australia at the end of 98 into 99. Mine was the last new one in Sydney when I got it. I don't think there are many left now sadly.

yep, I'm on vwWatercooled. Been helped heaps by Matt (aka golfloon)
Matt seems a good bloke.. pretty knowledgeable too.. may even be able to help you with your latest predicamnt (just read your other thread)
hahahahhahah, i guess my comments on this thread after the rego check have come home to roost!!
yup, Mk2's do have a strange way.. they normally bite you in the ass just as you think its all plain sailing.
As I said in the other thread, it could have been so much worse, failing in the drive was convenient! I had just driven home after flying a mission to Japan & I'm flying to NZ in the morning.
