£4.20 From Ebay including delivery

Other bulbs can be used of course!

Let's start by having a look at the original bulb..............nice!

1.jpg

Take your old credit card (old gym card for me!) and push it in the gap on the right hand side between the bulb cover and car.

If done correctly the holder should pop out

3.jpg

You can now pull it out from the bodywork a little

4.jpg

Next you need to unclip the power source from the bulb holder, you do this by pushing the black holding clip inwards and pull on the plug

5.jpg

This Will leave you with this

6.jpg

**BEFORE YOU START THE NEXT BIT BE CAREFUL AS THE BULB MIGHT BE HOT DUE TO BEING ON - IF YOU ARE WORRIED THEN LEAVE IT TO SIT AND COOL DOWN FOR 5 MINUTES**

We now need to get the bulb out, grab your tissue/toilet paper and take a look at the holder. On the copper end there should be a slit gap that the bulb can be pushed out of, you need to push from behind the bulb (with the tissue/toilet paper covering the bulb), the bulb should just fall out easily. You should be left with this

7.jpg

**PUT THE BULB SOMEWHERE SAFE BEFORE CONTINUING**

Put your tissue/toilet paper over your new LED 264 bulb, push the end with the silver metal in first and then slide the bulb into the copper end, you should then have this

8.jpg

Now we need to test it works so push the black plug back in the end you took it out from

9.jpg

As it's all working we need to put it back in place, feed the wire back into the hole then push the left hand side of the cover in first then push the right hand side in. You should hear a click and be left with

Very nice indeed.
Eek, you not worried about doing the fog lights? haven't you gotta take the whole front bumper off?

It ain't that hard to get the front bumper off anyway...I have done it 3 times due to LED sidelights bulbs falling out inside the headlight as I took them out! Lol! Just lots of screws to undo!

Great 'how to' as always SC16v, i used my Morrisons miles card and a 42mm bulb from the center interior light and it fitted fine

I have one of these in my cars boot already.
Ebay Item: 270691387234

The plate is too big to fit inside the holder, but it comes with a sticky back, so you can use the supplied adaptor and stick it onto the plastic lens and you have a stupidly bright interior light.

Trying to figure out how I can loop an LED string around the boot so I have light on both sides.

I read in one of the other thread that the centre light at the front has to be white, doesn't that apply for the boot too??
