Aw man I'd really like to change mine to red! But don't wanna do it if it ain't legal, ain't much on this subject.... Because I'd really like to change the front to red also.

I'm pretty sure it would be ok, otherwise you wouldn't get ambient lighting. Doesn't the passat W8 light produce a red light?

Hmmmm I think I'll give it a go! I wanna do the boot light in red and get new LEDs for the reg plate lights

Loz did you definately use a 44mm bulb? I just bought a 44mm festoon red LED and it doesnt fit?? Might have to order some 42mm and see how it goes!

yeah I definitely had a 44mm bulb pal, I bought it a little bigger as it felt more secure in the holder. I bend the metal prongs back a tiny bit so it would fit

Hi, I have just recently bought a Blue LED light for my ibiza cupras boot and first time i tried I blew the fuse which was my bad as i never disconnected the power to the light when putting the bulb in.

I replaced the fuse and the interrior light/backlights are now working fine.

But when i tried to put the bulb in the boot holder doing it properly, it seems to still not work?

Does anybody know why it wouldnt be working?
