No it´s not! it´s fitted with the 2280 billet wheel:)

Dont think this turbo setup will require largeport head as I think the hot side beeing to restictive, time will show thou:)

I´ll even be running forgen cooler to start with and take it from there. Right now Im fidling with the 3" TIP witch is HUGE in the ibiza bay.

Are you sure Prebs? Which spec did you ask for?

The pics of your compressor look like a 2283 - have you measured it?

2280 is'nt a billet wheel, although it will be available as a billet at some point apparently

Your hybrid is the K03 hybrid with RS6 turbine wheel, uprated thrust, but with 2280 Billet wheel fitted.

That's a typo imo - the wheel in your pics is a 2283 and as Bill states, there's currently no 2280 billet wheel on the market. Can you measure the inlet?

No wonder these hybrids are such a minefield with so many inconsistencies...

Robbie, you have a good mate to let you leave your car in his garage, then get him to work on it too, fair play :) Wish my "garage" was a little more secure :( Looks like she's going to be a hell of a lot better when new gears are fitted and that hybrid is on there :)

I doubt Mark would not be telling witch actual wheel is fitted. He´d be digging his own grave if he starts to assebley turbo for clients with different components then he claims, so If he says its a 2280 then I recon it is.

The wheel is actual a little bigger then the measure from the inlet but not easy to spot from pics as the inlet-end turn a bit narrower from wheel and out.

He's a top mate and I know the car is in very safe hands.

I've got my own garage at mine but it's easier for the car to be at Dale's where he's got everything he needs in one place.

Agreed Prebs, but if you look at this post you can see the clear difference between a 2280 and 2283 wheel.

You might want to post in that thread in Badger5's sub-forum to get some more input, just so we're all clear on each spec. How are you getting on with yours?

I've got my LSD here with me now ready to send off to SQS today so they can get my gearbox built up and shipped out to me (I had a few strange looks holding it in the lift this morning...)

Small update - my diff has now been received by SQS who are starting to put my new gearbox together, ready to ship over to me :)

I've also spent some time talking to LOBA Motorsport in Germany over the phone who kindly spared some time to discuss my plans for pushing more power from my Turbo Dynamics hybrid and what they may be able to offer while I continue to monitor Rob Smith's progress with his V2 K04 from CRT.

LOBA have been involved with a lot of development on various hybrid turbos, including the MTM/Dahlback K04 for the RS4 etc

Following up over email they advise I may be better off selling my existing turbo and starting from fresh as they can't account for the exact modifications and spec that Turbo Dynamics have installed.

They are able to provide an off-the-shelf K03 hybrid, the LO300 which uses the 2283 compressor wheel (which amazingly appears to fit inside a K03 compressor housing) with a clipped RS4 turbine wheel and accompanying modifications. Pics:

As the name suggests, this model is apparently good for around 300 ponies - though LOBA can offer varying degrees of spec using the 2277, 2280, 2283 and their own custom 2479 compressor wheel.

Knowing that the 2283 wheel is capable of flowing over 330 BHP with the correct accompanying mods I'd like to aim higher than 30x BHP, but the hotside will remain the limiting factor here, not forgetting the issues we've seen with surging on some other similar units from other companies which are actively being investigated further. It's all a fine balance.

I was told that my turbine wheel is a full trim RS6 wheel, though it's believed that this can't physically fit inside a K03 housing :shrug:

Here's a pic I got the other night, where you can see it's not cut-back at least:
