Yeah finally got the hang of it Joe, so rewarding turning rusty old bits into a gold yellow colour. Wish I had the kit when I done the rebuild last year could have done a lot more bolts.

Finally got my parts back from the powdercoaters after more than two weeks. The silver is a goldie silver but in the sun it's metallic, normal gloss black for the rest.

Change the mirror base plates from satin to gloss.

Busy plating all the bolts I got blasted so by next week the car should be back up and running

i only got my car back on the road yesterday but god does it fly. this weekend im spraying bonnet new bumper and fitting fmic. got a very busy weekend.
you got to get some engine bay pics up when its all together.
did you do all the prep for spraying your car yourself? did you spray it?

Looking nice, love that silvery colour, just remember to thread lock the pulley back on, had 3 out of 4 of the bolts wobble out on mine, guessing due to the fact I had no threadlock!

Yeah I find it pretty easy now, once you find the right current.

Only problem with them being blasted is you get the texture of the metal showing up on the plating if that makes sense. Can't get the plating smooth unless you sand it down first.

Still waiting on battery cable though to get it started.

Yeah, the texture will be just the same as the metal underneath. If it's something you want a nice finish on mirror polish it first

Today's progress.

Left a pipe from the power steering pump in a bucket of brick cleaner ready for plating, few days later and this is all that's left!

Fabricated a new one up.

Rocker cover and fuel rail bolted down.

Must get some decent pictures next time.

End of February is my new target for back on the road.

Got the rest of my battery stuff today so by the weekend it should be running. Then I can take the doors, wings and bonnet off and give them a fresh coat of paint, there's a few bits that bug me on there and the front bumper needs repsraying after the wind dragged it.

Elliott, you're mad, respraying again lol, fair play to you mate. I'm still having problems with getting my door to shut nicely (passengers) which was fine.. it just seems very hard to close/ open and it doesn't lock unless I pull up/ push down the pin, it does wiggle when you try to lock it though...any ideas ?
