so you have similar things to me, so wash (2 bucket) then clay, then SRP, then HD Wax? what I use (but megs clay atm, gonna get bilt hammer, as you can use water as a lube save money)

tbh just wash, and use a quick detailer of some sort, Dodo Red Mist is one my fav's (mates all use it, and have used it)

Yep pretty much the same. When Im giving it a proper clean its washed with Autoglym shampoo using the 2 bucket method, dried with a meguiars drying towel, clayed using meguiars quick clay, SRP or paint renevator or both, Extra Gloss Protection then wax.

Think I may just give some of that Dodo Juice Red Mist a try for topping up the wax. Have read a few good things about it in magazines/internet.

for a stupid diesel, wtf am I doing? didn't think i'd miss her this much, and she ain't even gone

found a diesel for a good price (all will be revealed when all is finalised)

went to cov for a couple of days to stay with some mates, and she is driving stupidly good (well even on my commute to work everyday)

will stay on this forum with my new car if it happens

yep hope it goes to a good home, as I would love to see it finished off, as it wouldn't take much to have an awesome stance IMO

arches rolled and wider lips, done for a great stance, then if it had a respray and some engine bay pimping = show and shine contender

Al I do love it, but I cannot afford to use £260+ a month on petrol, the fact its only done 81k, its in very good condition (bar a few stonechips, that are/will grow due to mileage)

And before its asked, I definitely cannot afford to run 2 cars! Insurance, tax, maintanence etc would make me literally have no money too!

Logical thing to do is to get this new car I have seen, as it will get 60+ mpg and I can use cruise control, have some comfort to work etc

Its a sacrifice I have to make (always doing it tbh) but when I start earning loads I can get another one as a track toy like dinky dave

But tbh if I get a toy, I would go jap if I'm honest, price to power/fun factor it makes sense


I know phil, but tbh this car was only bought for a 6month bint originally, ended up falling in love, spent WAYYYY too much on it, its been good to me as I've saved it from the previous owner, and made it look good

Hope the new owner will cherish it, like I did

you keep saying its got low mileage but its only going to go up no matter who owns it but i can see the logic in you needing a dirty diesel if your doing that many miles a month just seems a shame.
as the next owner will rape the poor thing and it will end up like all the other poor gti ibizas that are not cared for.

disconnect the speedo cable to keep the mileage down? seems your in the same situation as me, doing so many miles that you actually feel like you're abusing your ibiza.
