You get what you pay for. A popular choice is EBC ultimax and ferodo ds25000 pads. This setup I can defiantly recommend.

yeah but i aint got two hundred notes for discs and pads like that lol. i wasn thinking maybe brembo max discs and some normalish pads.

in fairness the standard ones at the min are great. surely some better discs would make a good bit of diference

your right mate standard setup is very very good. I only uprated as when pushing very hard brake fade started to occur. If I were you i'd stick with the standard setup (new set) and upgrade if you feel the need or want to splash some cash on the good stuff.

Think I paid £108 for the Brembo max discs and then £25ish for Mintex pads. Mine were MDB 2207 pads though so check they are the right pads

The Mintex have a better cold bite compared to the DS2500 and generally they are pretty decent. I've done a decent drive over Holme Moss and did some heavy braking and the Mintex stood up well but the DS2500 felt better once hot. You get what you pay for really

I do a fair bit of track stuff, so need some decent pads. Found the stock pads pretty good tbh.

Well fitted boggos disc from cheapest link below and Mintex which were the cheapest.

The Mintex bite is too good IMHO - you will find yourself snatching at low speed stops (ie rolling off brakes in queues and trying not to lurch to a stop). Mined you this is after I redid the Stainless rest pads etc so the pads can actually move freely which most do not. But there does not seem much other option for pads....

The Grooves discs will making a whirring like a washing machine.. just to note.. again the bogo ones do not.

I have faded the Seat OEM parts driving like a loon down a fair hill but really they are way more than you need .. so a little reduction in front stopping power will just shunt a little more to the rear brakes... which need it.. so I would not worry about fitting cheap and nasty if you do not intend to go track day hero or Autobahn heroing..

Just got some brake pads through the post and they have a wire and connector coming off of one of them ..... guessing thats the brake wear indicator??? which i believe the cupra doesnt have.

I did email the guy on ebay and he said they are fine for my car? guess im gonna have to get the old ones off my car.....compare...and if theyre the same just chop the wire off.....

What do you guys rekon|?
