Well, there is some progress.. But not really the good kind..
The car failed MOT (of course) last week.. That wasn't a suprise, but the reason was..
I seemed my right front spring is broken.. it isn't even 2 months old!

The guy who should take care of the gauge pod, was going to wrap it in leather.. he was gone on a long vacation (which I didn't know..)
He just called, it ain't gonna work.. to dificult.. so guess I'll have to try something else there..

One good thign though; HTe carPC was broken, and now it isn't anymore :clap:

So next step; Recieve new coilover from FK, make it through MOT, finally do the rear axle, make a pretty exhaust, and then some pictures :happy:

Yeah, flocking seems to be the thing now.. Got the other parts already in leather, so I thought of something that could work and keep it in the same style:

It's a leatherlook aerosol:

Thnx EnGbudd!

Got to uploading some picture today :) (All in phone quality :whistle:)
Replaced the spring last weekend, drives a lot better now!

And here is a really crappy picture of the parts I got covered in leather:

It's a really crappy picture.. There was a slight color difference between the new and the old leather, so a bought some leather cleaning thing and got working. Looks a lot better now! Just need some time to make some pictures with the real camera ;)

Oh and here's something you might like too. It's not my car, but, my brothers 6K Ibiza. We got bored some time ago, so we decided to do some polyesther stuff, just for the fun of it :p

And last but not least;

All picture are clickable for bigger :)

Edit;
Oh, before I forget.. There is a slight update on the rear axle thing.. It isn't going to work.. We measured it, and it would be 1cm wider on each side... So that's not worth the effort..
Anyone got 2 50mm 4x100 spacers? (Yes, it's a serious question ;) )

centre seamed and flat panelled out inner and outer - although the seams are well glued up with room to rot underneath mind - had to rip mine out both sides

More photos needed. :yes:

agreed!!!

also if you are gonna widen the rear, have a look into making "stub axle spacers" instead of "hub spacers" as you will go through loads of bearings (especially as it looks like you will need 35mm+)

they sit between the hub and the rear axle (so you need long bolts etc for them)
a guy on clubgti makes them in 15-20mm, but i'm sure he could make bigger if you require :)

Looking good fella! In need of some rear spacers tho lol..... how have you spaced out the front wheels? I'm pleased to see that the 16" rim don't actually look lost under them arches, thought they would have.

You going to plum in your intercooler next?

Good work!

Thats really good advice, thanks for that! I was looking at normal spacers, and just found a company last week. Good I didn't order them right away..
I'll try to find them here in Holland first.. Thnx!

Thnx! Yeah, spacers are really really needed! But, i thought I've been driving it for a while now, and haven't made any pictures yet, because of the missing spacers.. Last weekend I thought.. screw that.. I'm going to take some pictures :)

The front wheels both have 20mm spacers, and that just enough.. The rear needs 50mm each side :) now the rear is also 20mm each side.

Yeah the intercooler needs to be connected too haha! still lots to do.. Looking into doing that this winter too..
