11th October mate, what's up? This ain't looking hopeful for this vrS guy ain't text me letting me know if v5 is in, was suppose to be in before I left, I will be asking for my deposit back and going elsewhere if it ain't in by time I'm home, he can't expect me to wait more than 3 weeks.

The DVLA does say that it can take 2-3weeks for the replacment V5 to come, so he may be genuine. But I wouldn't be too happy!

Yeh that's 3 weeks since deposit when I get home. BUT that's 5 weeks wait for him, he said when I put a deposit down that it was already like 2 weeks into the process so if it ain't in when I get home, that's 5 weeks.

Still in Florida but been buying car cleaning products in wallmart and stuff because it's cheap as chips, got a clay kit for like $20 = roughly £14 got megs quick detailer $8 = £5 and tonight got zimmos cleaner wax for like $12 that's about £8 obviously there is 6% tax on these but it's real cheap, oh and plastX for like $6 that's about £4 haha love it. Would like to find a proper detailing shop or something so if anyone has spare time could you look up a car care store near Clermont Florida thanks.

Now the owner of a 2005 Skoda Fabia vRS. 1.9tdi 130 bhp. mostly standard except, standard alloys in black, debadged fabia logo.

needs a good polish/detail but i will get stuck into it. this isnt the car i had a deposit down on but will need to see about getting my deposit back from the other seller as he still doesnt have the v5.

as for the car, its awesome, better build quality from the ibiza from what i can see, certainly pulls like a train.

will get some pics up of the detail hopefully if i get a chance to do it.

current plans, got some fly eyes for the rear lights, and going to detail it, other than that it will be staying standard as i need to recouperate money. cant decide if i like the alloys in black, might try swap them for some standard silver ones.

Great news Scott. :D

You will have start a new threat about it (and put a link on this one) then to post pics of it in that one.

I'm sure you will find that you've made the right choice (of cars).

I'm jealous. I want to be a Skoda owner again!

Are you sure about fly eyes Scott? I personally don't like that stuff, what about the light smoke tint film that lamin-x do? Only a tenner and I think it'd look better. It's nice and subtle. :)
