You know you have a Mk2 Ibiza when you get angry about your rear windscreen wiper that keeps going the whole way to school/work, because the darn thing won't shut off once you used it once, to get the rain from previous night of your window...

.

Take the Wiper off!!
Join the Docking Squad.

Very Easily Removed and All you need is a 20mm Grommet IIRC

Hey, I won't take parts off my car! :O She doesn't like it when I do that... I can tell because it will take just a moment longer untill she fires up :D

Wait, did I just call my car a she? For .... sake :(

Uhm.. You know you have an MK2 Ibiza when you call a 15 year old car a "she" instead of an "it"...

Lol! That made me laugh pretty hard :p Nice one...

Yeah, well it's a tough decision... I really want to get the deep black back in my bumpers, either repaint or get scrap-car ones that aren't sun-bleeched(or is there another way?)(or even new?), or get a facelifted set... Since right now it looks kind of low-budget really...

I really don't want to give my car a name though :D I'll probably end up with something like Oliver, from Top Gear, and a she called Oliver,.. yeah, you get it.

I'd keep them, re paint them, they look retro, different, and would look wicked dubbed :D
Wish I did

Yeah but I don't think I will ever get to lowering my car or something, I'm only a cheap-*** student remember... I do think they're cool though, and very handy, since you won't notice any scratch on it.

Then again, does black paint actually stick to that surface? Also, on the inset-edges, it looks like it is starting to peel?! Really weird, like a layer is slowly coming off. I think I'd rather get some 2nd hand or new ones... Also because I'm not that great of a painter, somehow it always starts to drip somewhere.

But really, isn't there some kind of substance for it? I can use Commandant 4 on my plastic GLX spoiler thingy when it goes pink and that works perfectly, isn't there something like that for non-flat surfaces? :O

@under me: as it for? :D As it is for.. :D Man, mine's over 209k, and since a while, my cooling fluids stay cold for 10 minutes after starting it up, sounds a bit weird and metal-ish until the dial goes in the middle... Oh well, I think/hope it's because of the temperature drop outside...

I think I'm going to be a bit easier on that little motor, really want to keep the car for a long time!

@ Mythbuster: If you don't want to be part of the tail-docking squad, try a BMW 1 series (or mini clubman, whichever you can get your mits on) Rear wiper. Goes well on a mk3 golf, would probably look miint on a mk2, much sleeker.

@Finan. Dude, mines gone almost 9 months without a wash! :p beat that!

It's more annoying me that I can't shut it off than how it looks really. The switch is just half broken, it just doesn't click back if I pull it back. Putting it on works perfect, one push forward and it's on, but it won't come back after that :(

You know you have an MK2 Ibiza when you can talk for hours about your own type of car without really saying anything substantial...

@Under me: But there must be a way to shut if off?! Right?! Must?! Can't be that they actually forgot about that...?! Guess i'll just bring a towel next time and clean my rear window with that... Just hope I don't accidentially put it on while putting my front wipers on :p

@VNGTX: ... "Must.. stop.. Wiper!" *SLAM* "that'll do" *wiper goes again, broken in half* "ARGH!!! GOD! HOW.."

dont worry about the wiper not turning off.. i dont think anyone knows how to turn it off. (hence why i removed it)

i think the girls of the forum (gtikezz and Tiggs) they know how to turn it off apparently haha :)

A Wash..? WASH YOUR CAR OWEN haha.
:)
How is auld Eleanor haha.

I Think a Service is More Required than a Wash ? :p

Poor Eleanor's 11. Younger than all your lot and sooo immature. trying to race everything with alloys :p I'll do it. and when I do it, the wheels are coming off for a proper clean too

Aye, a service is slightly more necessary though.

@anti-taildockers: Try squirting your front windscreen. Before I taildocked mine, this seemed to do the trick.

Didn't work.. Unless I really have to squirt the front REALLY badly(as in, pull it back even further than you would to squirt it... which will probably break the handle on mine)

I'll try again when I need to though :D... Otherwise I'll just shut off the engine while driving on the highway.... Or would that be considered dangerous?

@Dan151: Then 209k would be .. Extreme?
