AP coilies mate. Bought, fitted and setup by AMD. Absolutely love them. Got them set for fast road use. Not the lowest of low settings. But it looks mean enough! It was far too high standard for me.

i also no what it is lol.

Me too, just seen a picture come up of his purchase on my facebook homepage feed.. :cartman:

to be fair, you should have stolen the guys there for a test fit. But looking at the bay in your sig pic, it's going to finish it off a treat, isn't it? *Waits patiently*

That was on an S3 which is a different shape to mine and I think that one is off a TT cos it does'nt fit the S3 properly either

I think it'll be good for it not to fit straight on! Will require some craft and some hours of work, but once it's done that bay is going to look the nuts! And you'll have a unique side engine cover on an LCR.

Keep us updated mate.

Constructive critism Daz: I think you should concentrate on sorting the cars stance. Thats what missing for me and it will help you get power down massively.

Cant remember mate,
My main concern is I dont want to ruin the ride, the raods round here are treble at the moment.
I also cant justify paying out for coilover.
Might have to have a word with Shaun@AmD and see what he says

DK the covers are a nightmare to fit. I had the same as yours on mine and there is about a 1" gap at the bottom corner where it curves round and no way to manipulate the position you fit it in to cover it. There was no real way to fix it at the bottom on the front panel, only at the top by removing the header tank, fitting the bracket that comes with it. Even then you have to bend the bracket for it to even get remotely close to fitting flush.

You could actually hear it banging around under the bonnet when driving as it could only be properly fixed at the top. Mine looked poo so I took it off.

Think I see the 5 litre tank in your pic, thats essential as the standard tank sits too low.

Did you get the T shaped bracket and the fixing screws with it DK?

I'v not got it yet but I think I need to get the bracket for the top end, The whole thing is going to be wraped in carbon so what I paln to do is make it bigger than it needs to be then trim it to fit, hopefully this will work, if not it'll go in the bin

If this was mine, standard rear lights, standard front splitter, kw coilovers, job done :)

Just aswell it's not then :D

lol DK. Dont bin it, the Golf 4 boys love them on ukmkivs, I got £60 for mine.

The bracket is expensive. I had to get it from Audi, the bracket is tiny and like tin. It cost £19 plus vat and the screws come seperate too at a cost of about £4 plus vat lol. Its a rip off from the stealers.

The curve in the bottom left corner is the problem, it leaves kind of a triangle gap of arund 1". The cover fits the Golf 4 as their engine bays are slightly smaller than ours. The bottom and side lips arent plastic, it is a rubber seal, it is not 1 whole solid unit so might be difficult to adapt to fit.

All in all, it was an arse on finding all of the parts for it to be on for a couple of weeks, bang around a lot, and get sold as it didnt fit properly.

But nothing ventured, nothing gained mate, you seem to be able to fettle pretty much anything.
