well been told flying back to uk 10th of oct but may be a bit earlyer, alister said would have engine done before im back, my mum sent the springs and retainers up the other day so hopefully he has them,
i think i will need a custom map when get car done as but may come and see him and see what can do,

He does all the maps custom like, good especially for the price. Mine needs a couple of tweaks though!
Sounds like your in the money at the mo, buying all that stuff haha your lcr will be mad when it's done like! I will try get pics, not sure when it's starting though. I'll be jealous when it gets built though, might steal it
The gasket is from awesomegti and about 55 quid. Not sure if you need a large port or small port one though. Think bam engines are small port. I'll have a look next Saturday for you

How well do you know the lad that runs Big Fish Tuning? I've heard id them throught the local VAG forums. Think I'll be aftera map for a ED30 very soon
Yeh Johns sound and does a good job for a very good price. Proper clever bloke too and he's honest which is good! Plus never heard of anyone cracking launch control on the standard ecus before!
Ed30 sounds class mate, think that will be my next car tbh if I don't keep this, so so nice. Went looking round a vw garage yesterday but they had nowt good in!

i just had loads of momey saved but thought may as well treat myself so been shopping, also got my oils for breaking in engine, told to change it a few times to bed rings in, and i hope the engine is a beast i cant wait, my manifilolds small port but as having head ported and polished was going to see what allister can do with the manni.

I'm not sure really he asked me to take a picture of my ecu to get the codes off and said he'd get started. Then took another 3 hours on the day. Needs a tad more work though, so otl be off back soon! Should be off on rollers 9th October
