Just tape the wheel and spray the centres yourself? Easiest and cheapest option, if you rub them down it will be fine.

I'd do that if it were me and I wanted gold centers. Get down halfords haha or if you know someone with a spray gun I have half a tin of Aztec gold spray paint from a corsa c in my garage ;)

And fair enough, they can do it then, just can't promise 100% perfect.

Hmm im no good at spraying , Bens ok but if it wasnt perfect id just abuse him tbh, Im looking at the wheel specialist now ..Bit far but oh well.. Do i leave the brushed alu lip or go polished?

Gona buy the black and gold bbs center caps if i get it done :)

idealy i need to find someone that does spraying in the area , Im not gona muck a mint set of alloys up

Thats not the way to powdercoat wheels with a polished lip.
You powdercoat the full wheel, then use a diamond tip machine to reface the lips, then they laquer them.
The wheel specialist or Spitnpolish both offer the service, but its not cheap.

Sensible way is to paint them. Even if you;re not keen, £150 should get it done by a pro

Yeah i just need to find a pro to do them lol , Its hardly a big job im just **** at spraying!

What brushed Alu lip? Haha the rim is diamond cut and lacquered and the dish is powdercoated. Wheelspecialist are worse than romax and motorcool. And charge a good deal more. Just do it yourself, it's only the centers. Requires no skill, don't even have to take the tyre off or anything.

Looking at that MK3, it just doesn't work, colour of the rims is wrong completely, as you said must have been a friend of the judges!

Thing is with show and shine, its going to be full of show cars as its a show! At Edition38 the saturday is ten of the best, which is aimed more at dailys.

Aimez- the only car I've seen trailored to a VAG show was the rocco/corrado at edition last year which was a rolling shell! (no engine, interior, just shell with suspension and wheels!)

I did not mean solely at edition was commenting on show and shine in general and meant most cars are not daily drivers like ours that get abused up and down the motorway.

The clue is in the name though! I wouldn't be happy of I paid to get into a show and the main cars are full of stonechips and parking dents!

What show and shine a car with a few stone chips is not shiny? Why would they be all full of dents, as I said they should have one class for trailer & garage queens and the other for daily drivers, jut cos its a daily drivers doesn't mean it is not cleaned thoroughly.

Pay to get in? I personally am with aimez there needs to be 2 clasees one for artwork (trailer princess's) and one for dailys.. My car is in just as good if not better condition than most of the die hard trailer cars , But that gets you nowhere they dont even take into consideration the ammout of miles that cars have done!

Also going to rock a theme now with the white carbon and gold theme , Want the wheels sorted asap!

Planning on doing the white splitter with carbon middle like dk has done

White vent surrounds

And a white engine cover with gold paint splats or flake in

Also get a battery cover as it looks abit gash without and do that carbon or white

And a cupra handbrake cover

Not to mention the car been booked for a carbon roof.

Oh and my pressed plates ;)

Alex, yes you have to pay to get in at a show, they aren't free!

A daily can/will win if its clean enough and has some good touches

It doesn't cos you have all the cables and crap coming out all differently, theres quite allof of differences if you have then both infront of you to compare. If your gonna go through the effort of taking it all out wiring it differently then all back together with tue cover you may aswell just chuck it in the boot and not even have it there. Either was too much effort when it was my car so it stayed as is.
