lol it was the complete opposite for me i kept trying to find black cars when i got mine and could only find red got there in the end though.

ive looked at endless 1.8t now and there just isnt one that gets me going either wrong colour or theres something not right with it.
so im sorry to disappoint you all but a white/red mk5 fr is looking more likely than anything tbh.
ive driven another one today it feels so much nicer to drive than the mk4 (mainly cos of the auto box)
but im not sure i can bring myself to buy one!

although my dad suggests mk5 daily driver, mk4 fr track mobile.
which in my eyes is a sensible idea.

Really wanted one for ages tho.
But the mk4 won't be run every week probably every month or so if I'm lucky and it can be trailered there so it doesn't have to be insured on the road.

dont give up so soon on hunting for an fr you said yourself theres no rush.
when i got my car i nearly gave up looking for a mk5 even though it wasnt what i really wanted waited a bit longer and got the mk4 i actually wanted.
there will be one out there for you that ticks all the boxes.

i havent given up looking for them ive just seen a few mk5 at the dealers that i really really like, and looking at the performance them little tsi engines bang out is making me want one more lol.
theres no real rush but i would like to get rid of it before it hits 100,000 (in 5,000 miles )
